The front door of the Cookhouse opens onto a hallway with several barrels and a small two-seat table. A doorway leads to the dining room, where Awei makes her food and serves her customers. There are two more tables here, along with a hearth; over in the corner, Awei has several shelves where she keeps plates, utensils, ingredients, and prepared food and drink. A stairway at the end of the hall leads upstairs. The second floor is where Wamesa, her husband works, and also holds their private dining room; the third floor is living quarters for the pair and their child, Nesi.
