Chatal Mendor

Chatal Mendor is a Breton smith who runs a store in Firewatch. He is a talented craftsman whose skills are in high demand, and he is well-known for working with the incredibly rare metal mithril. His assistant, Lyanna Ismal, sells most of his wares on his behalf on the ground floor, but he has a few pieces to sell too. He can also repair your gear for a fee.

He wears a Bjoulsae fur helm, a common shirt, a pair of common pants, a pair of common shoes, a pair of common gloves, and a common ring. He wields a steel dagger, and carries 41 gold, a key for the doors on the second floor and basement leading to the bedrooms, and the repair tools he restocks for his store.

Aside from his natural bonus and resistance to magicka, and his ability to shield himself for short periods, he knows no spells.

His bedroom can be found on the second floor, where there is a copy of True Justice and a master's armorer's hammer on the bookshelf. There is also a bottle of Cyrodiilic Brandy and 3 bottles of Wayrest Spiced Wine in the winerack.

"I don't mean to sound immodest, but it's rare to meet a visitor to my workshop who hasn't heard of me. I'm %Name. Proud Daggerfall expatriate first, armorer and weaponsmith second. Heard of mithril? I'm the only one in Morrowind who can smith it."
  • Daggerfall:
"My home. The jewel of the Bay, glittering in splendor at the gates of the west."
  • mithril:
"The finest, most versatile substance an armorer could dream of. Only mithril has the strength of adamantium, the lightness of volcanic glass, and the resilience of ebony, all while retaining an enchantment like nothing else on Nirn. You won't find much of it out east, so I usually only work mithril on special contracts. But I do have a mithril shortsword for sale upstairs, if you're interested."
