Faith in Man

A story about faith.

Once a ray said to the sun:

"Every day I fly to Nirn and warm all living things, but I would also like to warm the human heart."

"Well, you can give a drop of solar fire to a person," the sun allowed. "This fire will help him become a great creator. Just choose the best of people."

The ray flew to Nirn and thought:

"How do you know which of the people is better?"

And then he heard the man's sad thoughts:

"Nothing works for me. I dreamed of becoming an artist, but became a painter. I fell in love with a girl, but she does not look at me."

"You have talent, youth and skillful hands!" exclaimed the ray and gave the man its fire.

A solar fire flashed in the heart of the man and made him look up and straighten his shoulders. He took paints and painted a beautiful bouquet for his beloved.

"It's a miracle!" the girl was delighted and kissed him.

Then the man painted the house so that the customer was delighted:

"I thought you were just a painter, but you are a real artist. My house has become a work of art!"

And the man became a famous artist. Then the ray returned to the sun and said guiltily:

"I forgot that I had to find the best of people. I gave fire to the first person I met."

"You believed in a man," the sun answered happily. "And faith and support will turn any person into a creator and help to overcome any obstacles."
