Itan

Itan is an Argonian healer who lives in the Sleepy Creek Village, though he is currently tending to the shrine nearby. Once you build a homeless shelter in Leyawiin, you'll need someone to tend to the residents, and Itan is a good pick.

Before Reshaping the Skooma Den is complete, Itan can be found in the shrine, where he spends all his time. Afterward, he has a normal schedule: he gets up at 1pm and spends the day selling potions and spells; at 10pm, he closes up shop, eats supper until midnight and then spends the night reading and goes to bed at 8am.

He wears a huntmsan vest, copper amulet, blacksmith's pants, and rough leather shoes; he carries six apples, two carrots, and copies of Manual of Spellcraft and Fundaments of Alchemy.

When you find him, Itan is searching in a lost shrine for a way to rejuvenate the Hist there: "There was once a sanctuary here. They say even the Tree Guard was here. I was looking for a way to a closed part of the sanctuary. You see, the roots of the old Hist are hidden there. They are alive, I know. I have heard his thoughts several times. He's still alive. Imagine! And if awakened, Sin-Rei would become unnecessary. Then Hist will manage everything here in the district, and Sin-Rei will remain only the eldest in the village. She speaks on behalf of the Hist, but she herself does not hear him at all. Therefore, she would not let me go and would not allow me to come here." If you ask him to come to Leyawiin to work at the homeless shelter, however, he'll be happy to come along: "Alright. I will persuade Long Tail to help me later. I'll help him get things done at the shelter, and then he will help me with the sanctuary. Let's go quickly."
