DFU Mod:Daggerfall Enemy Expansion/Encounter Tables

Encouter tables are the primary means of encountering new Daggerfall Enemy Expansion enemies. Encounter tables normally work with 20 entries, each entry corresponding approximately to 1 player level (ex: entry 13 is met around player level 13). For this page, only entry types are listed, rather than list all of the specific entry slots.

By having more enemy types to choose from, Enemy Expansion tables have the following benefits over the classic tables:

• more enemy diversity
• more consistent level curve (low level entries contain low level enemies, high level entries contain high level enemies)
• better theme consistency (ex: desert tables contain desert animals, crypts contain undead, etc)

In addition, Enemy Expansion tables were designed with the DFU "infighting" feature in mind. Now, enemies that spawn in the same dungeon type "get along", and won't infight as much as DFU with classic tables. For example, most, but not all, creatures found in Orc Strongholds are orc-friends. For class enemies, a dungeon will usually contain either criminals (ex: Barbarian Stronghold) or knights (ex: Human Stronghold), not both.

Dungeon Types

Below are the encounter tables for each dungeon type. All dungeon types may feature low level vermin (rats, bats) at lower levels.
