Images of the Nobles

I was wondering if people would rather have a screenshot of nobles and other important NPCs within their "native habitat" or a direct rip of the sprite. A shot of them in-game definitely is more realistic, but I'm not sure since Daggerfall uses sprites, people may feel differently about how its media should be. StoneFrog 10:37, 1 February 2009 (EST)

The nobles you can find in the game are shown in their "native habitat", those I've never encountered so far and probably don't exist as person, cannot be "photographed" in their "native habitat". Their flats however can be found in the TEXTURE files, from where I got the images.--PLRDLF 19:26, 27 March 2009 (EDT)

Daggerfall glitch

There seems to be something horribly wrong with my daggerfall, whenever i get a quest to kill a targeted monster, or a targeted item, the item is never there. For instance, when the dark brotherhood told be to poison the wine decanter in a residence, I arrived there only to search the house for hours. Also whenever a monster,item or enemy is tagged as a quest they become invisible, but i am still able to attack the monsters. Please help, this glitch makes it literally impossible to join the thieves guild, dark brotherhood, and do a majority of the quests. --Umbacano 19:10 pm, 27 March 2009 (EST)

How is Daggerfall's map bigger than Arena's map?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I was reading about Daggerfall on wikipedia,and it said that daggerfall was the biggest TES game so far. How can Daggerfall be bigger than Arena if you can go all over tamriel in Arena, but can't in Daggerfall?--KBD5196 23:43, 24 April 2009 (EDT)

Resolution. Arena covers the whole of Tamriel but at a low level of detail. Daggerfall has a smaller area but at a larger level of detail. It's like taking a picture of Earth from space and printing it out on a piece of A4 compared to a map of Great Britain at 1" per mile. The area covered by the map is much smaller but the physical size of the map itself will be greater. –Rpeh^{•T•C•E•} 07:15, 30 April 2009 (EDT)

Daggerfall Download

So i'm trying to download this from the site, and haveing problems. When the window popped up, I tried two things.

1. Pressing Open.

I pressed "Open", And nothing happened. No loading screen or anything. It's as if I closed it, when I didn't. So I don't know what's going on.

2. Pressing Save.

A loading screen popped up this time, But the estimated wait time is over 20 hours. I don't want to wait THAT long. If it's right.

Anyone have suggestions on how to make it go faster, or why it dosn't download on it's own without saveing? --Lucky the Cat Guy. 03:06, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

I uploaded it as a torrent at Mininova. I don't see why they wouldn't use BitTorrent themselves to release it. Since I'm a new user here and I know people might not trust some random torrent, if a more trusted user could verify the hash of the file in the torrent against their own download, that'd be awesome. —Moz ( ^T⁄_C ) 03:19, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Horrible bug?

Occaisionally when I start a new game I get a HP of... -23808 out of my max hp! Has this happened to anybody else? it took 1350 hours to heal on a thief character... I can't remember how long it took on the four or five warrior characters that had that low... and it could be different every time... The Pessimist 06:36, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

A negative health bug (related to the negative mana bug) exists which only affects a specific type of character. If you have edited your character using any external tool then you might fall victim to this. If you haven't been using any sort of editor, I'm sure we can nail down the source of this particular problem. --Uniblab 22:48, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

target location problem

i've started a new game for the first time and i tried doing the quest "The stolen item" but whenever i asked around i kept getting redirected back to the temple,same happened with the merchant quest "the first printing. is this a glitch?

There are places on the world map that are named "The Temple of ...". I don't know if these are possible destinations for this quest, but it could be that you are being sent to somewhere that has the same name as a local temple. Search the name of the temple on the world map and see if anything shows up. Also, it's possible you're not asking the right questions. Make sure you check under people, places and things as questions categories. If you ask about the book in "The First printing" and end up being told that the questgiver has a copy, try something else.
