Deletion[edit]

I noticed a proposed deletion for this due to not being tes related. I disagree with this given all the references to this project appear to have been pulled from in later games in the series and its more direct relation to Redguard. Dcking20 (talk) 04:52, 31 July 2023 (UTC)

Yes I believe that its status as an early predecessor to Redguard gives it enough reason to remain on the wiki. Pages about early development are very valuable to preserving the history of the franchise and are incredibly informative to read. Besides, if we can have pages about the Uutak Mythos, we can have this. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 05:45, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
Disagree. This game is not directly relevant to TES, and any pre-release Redguard information can be moved to the Redguard namespace. In particular, this game should not be listed on General:Canceled Games which is specifically a page for cancelled games in the TES series. An unreleased science fiction pirate game has as much place here as an article about Fallout 3. —Legoless (talk) 08:10, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
UR was flipped into Redguard. A pirate game set in space was flipped into a pirate game set in Daggerfall. Strings of ideas from UR made it in later down the road into TES related materials. Fallout 3 was always its own game, it didn't grow out of or into a TES related project. This did. TheRockWithAMedicineCupOnHisHead (talk) 09:44, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
Also, where else could this be hosted where it would hold relevance? It has zero connections to Fallout. Zero connections to Starfield. Zero connections to say, 10th Planet. But it does have ties to TES. If the issue is the namespace, I have no qualms about it being moved to Redguard space. TheRockWithAMedicineCupOnHisHead (talk) 09:47, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
We avoid hosting non-TES-related content by long-standing consensus. Any information relating to the development of Redguard or other TES games can be relocated elsewhere, but I'm proposing we delete this article from UESP. —Legoless (talk) 11:21, 31 July 2023 (UTC)

() I agree with Legoless. Though the information from this article should be repurposed into a note or subheading on the Redguard game article, I don't think it deserves a full article to itself. Mindtrait0r (talk) 02:03, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

Disagree with deletion, nowhere else is hosting this information as far as I'm aware and it seems like a pretty 'crucial' section of information relating to the development of the TES series. Imperialbattlespire (talk) 02:28, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
I share the sentiments of Imperialbattlespire here, this information is crucial and deleting it would only harm the wiki. Currently there is no Redguard:About page like some other games have. If this would page would be folded into an article its more relevant too, I'd rather it be moved there as a last resort, but otherwise I'd like to preserve the page. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 04:04, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

() Since it's clear there is opposition to the deletion, I have removed the proposed deletion tag from the page. I have now moved this to a formal deletion review. —Legoless (talk) 12:52, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
