Assalkushalit (also known as Kushalit Sanctuary) is a Daedric ruin located on the northern side of the Red Mountain, inside the Ghostfence, southeast of Maar Gan. The ruin's interior contains a shrine dedicated to Sheogorath, Daedric Prince of Madness.[1][2]
As of 2E 582, Assalkushalit was recently abandoned and available for purchase as a private residence. It featured a statue to the Mad God within its stony hall and contained numerous portals connecting parts of the complex. It was accessible through the portal located in a small ruined alcove in the northern Ashlands, south of Valenvaryon.[2]
When the Ghostfence was erected to keep the Blight and Corprus monsters contained within the Red Mountain Region the Assalkushalit was isolated from the rest of the Vvardenfell.[3][1]
By 3E 427, the ruins had become occupied by a trio of hostile worshippers. A cursed ruby and a Devil Longbow were placed on Sheogorath's altar.[1]
