Swamp leviathans are massive reptilian creatures found in Black Marsh. They are described as a mountain of spines, with nine-foot-long claws and a jaw that juts out, exposing their tusks. The rats of Black Marsh are known to prey upon them, overwhelming them by the hundreds and eating the massive creatures inside out.[1]
Swamp leviathans were sometimes slain by the Nagas of the Dead-Water Tribe as a rite of passage.[2] The Kothringi historically created bugles from the horns of leviathans.[3] Skeletal remains believed to have belonged to swamp leviathans could be found in Deepmire.[2]
