Lore talk:Akaviri Potentate
Sidri-Ashak?[edit]
Besides the two main named Potentates, some sources mention an obscure Akaviri Potentate named Sidri-Ashak. Notably, the article right here at UESP about the Doomstones contains dialogue from Oblivion's lectures at the Arcane University. Two notable things about the guy - it's not stated how much territory he ruled or when he appears chronologically, and he's stated to be a First Era Potentate, even though the Akaviri Potentate period was officially part of the Second Era. Not sure what you guys want to do with this information but I think it deserves at least a note. Pilaf The Defiler (talk) 11:11, 29 June 2014 (GMT)
- Feel free to add your own contributions. By the way, note this: "Under the Remans, the emperor's chief advisor was called the Potentate." Being a First Era potentate means he was the emperor's chief advisor, not the ruler in the emperor's place, like in the Second Era. —MortenOSlash (talk) 11:53, 29 June 2014 (GMT)
Morag Tong[edit]
This article describes the Morag Tong as 'nascent' in 2E 324. In fact the Morag Tong dates back to the 1st Era as its lore page clearly states. It's true that The Brothers of Darkness refers to "the first known murder committed by the Morag Tong" in that year, but this must mean "the first that was publicly known at the time " as they are generally credited (if that's the word) with the death of Reman III over 300 years earlier. Even the reference in The Brothers of Darkness occurs in the context of a change in Morag Tong policy, implying they had already existed for quite some time. Since this seems like a potentially contentious issue, I thought I'd raise it here rather than changing the actual article.--Draugluin (talk) 12:43, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
