Lore talk:Mace of Molag Bal
The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
Video reference[edit]
The video I added as a reference is the only place where we hear this tiny nugget of lore regarding the mace's origins, so I have added as OOG with a timestamp (which will probably change anyway with the official/unofficial discussion going on at the moment.) I know it's not the most "professional" source (good luck getting past the annoying host), but we do hear the words of The Schick at 1:10, and that's good enough for me. Racial Motifs 14 only hints about the origins, but the video makes it clear so that's why I believe its relevent. --Jimeee (talk) 11:57, 15 May 2014 (GMT)
- Transcribing that section of the interview might be a good idea - YouTube already provides the subtitles. —Legoless (talk) 21:50, 15 May 2014 (GMT)

- "We decided for Elder Scrolls Online that the world-threatening menace was going to be the Daedric Prince Molag Bal, who just hates the mortals of Tamriel and wants to enslave and dominate them all. There are a number of very powerful artifacts, and among the most notorious of all is the Mace of Molag Bal. Molag Bal tricked this Orcish smith and brought him to Coldharbour where he stole his soul, made him one of his Soul Shriven, and forced him to forge the Mace of Molag Bal. When it strikes an enemy, it vampirically sucks stamina and magicka from the target and gives it to the wielder. Molag Bal loves to meddle with the lives of mortals, and so he grants his mace to them if they prove themselves worthy to bear it. 'Cause he assumes that, as a natural result of having The Vampire's Mace, there’s going to be a trail of death, destruction, murder, and mayhem behind whoever is wielding it."
