Is this page really necessary? If so, how can we clean it up to make it more in-line with the proper format of the wiki and less "fuck the police!", for lack of a better term. For starters, I really question "Decide that you don't need Wraithguard, Vivec, or anyone else." as part of the walkthrough for this 'quest'. --Somercy (talk) 08:07, 18 September 2012 (GMT)

Yeah I second that Somercy. This page seems not only rather pointless but redundant and actually rather unlikely to have any actual use for 99% of MW users. As this is basically talking about a method of playing the campaign that isn't really used outside of speed runs. Lord Eydvar Talk | Contribs 08:19, 18 September 2012 (GMT)
If you think it could be cleaned up, have at it! You could change the tone more towards the "What do you do when you accidentally on purpose kill the last living dwarf and find you cannot complete the quest using the back path? Is all hope lost? Certainly not!" or "What do you do if you kill one of the hostile corprus victims in the Corprusarium and now everyone in Tel Fyr hates you?" Zosimus (talk) 11:20, 18 September 2012 (GMT)
It's been a long time since I've played Morrowind so I can't really say how useful this kind of thing, but given Somercy and Eydvar's comments above, I'm inclined to think this page isn't really necessary. Typically, strategy guides of this nature are kept in user space. If you Morrowind folks think there is some information that would be of use for most players, maybe we could work some of those details into the existing Morrowind quest pages. Otherwise, it may be best for Zosimus to keep it in a sandbox instead of in the Morrowind namespace. eshetalk 13:38, 18 September 2012 (GMT)
This is not a quest in the game, it is a walkthrough for a quest already properly documented. Any relevant information needs to be moved to the proper quest and this page removed from the Morrowind namespace, and if you wish, moved to userspace. Part of this would be useful for what to do if both Vivec and Yagrum Bagarn are dead. There is a bit of information what to do in a "doomed world" on Essential NPCs, not sure if that would be the right place to put that content. --Alfwyn (talk) 15:56, 18 September 2012 (GMT)
Although there are NPCs flagged by the game as "essential" and there is a page noting this, in truth there are no essential NPCs. Even if a bizarre glitch in the game resulted in Vivec, Divayth Fyr, Yagrum Bagarn, Caius Cosades, and all of the Ashkhan of all the tribes along with their wise women NEVER EVEN SPAWNING it wouldn't matter. The game can still be completed, yet as you see on the Essential NPCs page it claims that three different NPCs are not only essential, but even essential for the back path. This information is flat out wrong. It also claims that if one the other supposedly "essential" NPCs die, that your only real recourse is to kill Vivec. This is also wrong. The only thing you need to complete the Main Quest is Sunder, Keening, and Alchemy skills. Now if you want to edit this page, move this page, merge it with another or just fix the Essential NPCs page, that's fine. However, I have no interest in having this page moved to my sandbox as though it were a bit of idle doodling. Zosimus (talk) 20:34, 18 September 2012 (GMT)
You know, I've been thinking a lot about what Lord Eydvar said and maybe he's right. Maybe this page SHOULD be deleted. After all, I think if I put 100 users in a room and gave them a choice between equipping item A, which will instantly and permanently remove 200-225 Health, and between drinking potion B, which will heal you for 200,000 points over the next 1,000 seconds... well, I think I would be hard pressed to convince any of the 100 people to drink the potion. So yeah, maybe this page should be deleted after all. Zosimus (talk) 21:38, 18 September 2012 (GMT)
Well, honestly, if some useful info could be copied over to the Essential NPCs page or onto relevant quest pages, that would be great. Unfortunately I'm not a Morrowind expert these days, so I'll leave it for someone more knowledgeable to deal with :). eshetalk 15:17, 19 September 2012 (GMT)
