West of the Imperial City, near the intersection of the Red Ring Road and the Black Road |
Fort Nikel is a small fort west of the Imperial City containing bandits and marauders. It contains only one zone, Fort Nikel.
Notes[edit]
- Slightly to the west of Fort Nikel is a small lake; lying in this lake is the rotting headless corpse of a person identified as Nath Dyer. The corpse carries a primrose leaf, some random minor loot (15%), and a letter professing affection to an unidentified addressee, possibly in the Imperial City. It appears Nath may have been a tragic victim of the bandits of Fort Nikel, or perhaps a love rival, while on the way to meet their beloved, or that the death was self-inflicted. A skull, presumably of Nath, can be found nearby in the same lake.
- The bandits and marauders hate each other more than they hate you, and will often kill each other without attacking you.
- Fort Nikel appears in ESO as Nikel Outpost.
Bugs[edit]
- Do not sit on the bench behind the Marauder Battlemage, for when you stand up, you will become trapped in the pillar behind you.
- The Unofficial Oblivion Patch, version 3.3.0, fixes this bug.

Zone 1: Fort Nikel[edit]
Upon entering, you will soon come across a pair of short dead-end passages, one on each side, each featuring a minor loot chest. A bit further along the main corridor, past one enemy, you will reach another junction. Head north if you want to fight bandits, south if you want to fight marauders, or straight east if you fancy watching the fireworks!
The fireworks take the form of a pitched battle between the bandits and the marauders in a large room with a flooded central area. They will fight to the death, and you will usually be left with only one or two surviving opponents. After dispatching the winners, loot their bodies, the five minor loot chests, and the boss chest.
