	After the fall of the Longhouse Emperors, this grand retreat stayed largely abandoned aside from the occasional treasure hunter. Most of the spoils of Durcorach's campaign across Tamriel went missing, only to appear later on the black market.

Black Drake Villa is a group dungeon on the Gold Coast.

It is included in the Flames of Ambition DLC alongside The Cauldron. The entrance is located along Varen's Wall northwest of Kvatch.

Tucked away in the northern Gold Coast sits an abandoned villa built as a retreat for former Emperor Durcorach, the Black Drake. Rumors tell of a vast library deep below that holds knowledge pillaged from across Tamriel. Hired by a mysterious benefactor, Eveli Sharp-Arrow arrives in search of a valuable book and a little adventure, but she soon discovers someone has set fire to the underground archive. Join Eveli in a race to find the book and defeat the forces behind the consuming blaze.

Flames of Ambition Preview—Black Drake Villa

The ever-enthusiastic adventurer Eveli Sharp-Arrow has been hired to retrieve a mysterious tome from the archives of the Black Drake Villa. This long-abandoned mansion, located in the Gold Coast's northern hills, was once the home to the infamous Durcorach the Black Drake, a Reachman conqueror and progenitor of the Longhouse Emperors dynasty … However, this job is not a simple smash and grab, and upon entering the estate's grounds, you'll quickly discover that a band of monsters now calls it home. Even worse, black smoke rises from the archives deep below the villa, and it's up to you and Eveli to race into the fire, confront the mercenary group known as the True-Sworn, and retrieve the tome at its heart.
But who are these flame-touched mercenaries? You'll have to discover that for yourself.

Under the ruins of the once-opulent Black Drake Villa, a grand library holds treasures and ancient tomes from across Tamriel. Gather your companions for a race against time to recover a mysterious book before dark forces burn everything to ash.

Layout[edit]

Decaying Vineyards[edit]

The vineyards are the outdoor area in front of the villa. The front entrance is boarded up, the doors to Colovia have been blocked off with dirt, and the stream and Dragon's Teeth Mountains block off the remaining sides. A backdoor entrance to the villa can be reached through the sewer grate. There is little of note in the vineyards besides a few badgers, two lynxes on a rock, and a decaying elk being fed on by some crows.
