Compassionate Hero is awarded for defeating Vorenor Winterbourne in Spindleclutch II at Veteran level without killing any of the captives in his lair. It helps if the tank can draw him to the slope leading up to the lair's entrance. This way, he has a harder time draining his captives, and your group has no chance of hitting them.
