Hammerdeath Arena[edit]

Hammerdeath Arena actually had a quest where you would have participated in an event known as the Grand Melee.

Characters[edit]

  • Beastkeeper Onis
  • Lob gro-Bug
  • Tar gro-Bug
  • Mar gro-Bug
  • Mura
Mura[edit]

Mura was the announcer for Hammerdeath Arena's Grand Melee.

"I am the Great and Deadly Mura, your incomparable announcer for the Grand Melee!
Be grateful I'm not competing. You'd be dead in the blink of an eye!
My pronouncement of your untimely demise would echo through the arena before you hit the ground!"
Mura: "The next Grand Melee will take place in ten minutes!"
Mura: "The next Grand Melee will take place in five minutes!"
Mura: "The next Grand Melee begins in one minute. Place your bets! Anyone who doesn't want to fight, leave the arena now!"
Mura: "The Grand Melee begins! Unleash the beasts! Combatants, fight with honor!"
Mura: "The Grand Melee has ended! Victors, talk to Tar and claim your winnings!"

Stormhaven

S'Rashi claims to have information about the Moonbird, but will not give it to me without payment. He has requested a sum of 100 gold or seven Tokens of Noble Favor. Tokens of Noble Favor can be obtained by doing favors for Wayrest Nobles.
I met <<1>> at his estate in southern Menevia.
S'Rashi spoke of a bird with crystal feathers that shines with an inner glow. This must be the Moonbird Durak spoke of. S'Rashi also said the bird has a new owner - a man named Hosni-Abd-Tura.
I have returned to Pariah Abbey with the Moonbird egg, and the Moonbird has returned to its proper size. Now that the Moonbird has returned to Durak's side, we plot together to stop The Fervor from claiming Menevia.

I've been asked to slay the dreugh at Sand Cove, south of Wayrest.
I've slain dreugh at the beach houses near Sand Cove. I should return to Lord Edgard and give him the news.

Stormhaven's Plot[edit]

Cut dialogue implies that Hircine and the Glenmoril Wyrd may have originally planned to be the antagonists in Stormhaven, instead of Vaermina and her Supernal Dreamers.

The Vestige would have been given a task to slay a type of Daedra favored by Hircine known as Hernes, and to offer one's heart during a Glenmoril Coven's ritual to disrupt it. Hernes didn't appear in the base game, but would appear much later in Morrowind's prologue quest.

"Honestly, it worries me. Long ago Sotha Sil made a pact with the Daedric Princes, forbidding casual summoners from unleashing them.
However, the Glenmoril Coven have ancient ties with Hircine - if they asked, I don't know that he would refuse."
"Excellent. This will do nicely. Give me just a moment... there.
Don't put the robe on until you're going to use it. The enchantment will only last a short time. And don't get too close to the coven - they know magic, and they may see through mine."
"Yes. Sabotage. Daedric Princes like Hircine value mortal sacrifices only. Sacrificing one of his prized Hernes may enrage him.
Collect a Herne heart, and place it on their altar during the ritual. If Hircine reacts, it may distract Nissa's guards."
"Daedric Princes are fickle, and Hircine prizes only mortal sacrifices. Sacrificing one of his prized Hernes may enrage him.
If you gather a fresh Herne heart and place it on the coven's altar during their ritual, I bet *bad* things would happen."
"The blood of an innocent - indeed, this will please our Prince greatly. Be a lamb and place it on the altar, dear. We'll step from the shadows once you've placed the sacrifice."

Sister Nissa would later be repurposed to instead align with Vaermina and her Supernal Dreamers, but she was ultimately cut from the final game:

"The Supernal Dreamers are a recent plague on the land. I'd never heard of them before they overran my father's farm.
Sister Nissa is the leader of the sect. The cultists who attacked our farm were following her orders."

The final story quest for Stormhaven was different when the Supernal Dreamers first took over the role as antagonists for the zone: Galthis would have betrayed Vaermina to serve Molag Bal, and she would have sent you into King Emeric's dream to slay him.

Omen of the Watchful Eye‎: "When Galthis rules Stormhaven, I will return for Sir Hughes!"
Omen of Blood: "When Galthis is king, Hosni At-Tura will not elude me again."
Omen of Counting Stars: "When the Night Terror has seized Stormhaven, General Godrun will obey me again!"
?: "Come meet your doom!"
Vaermina: "Not many can destroy my Omens. If you do my bidding, I will send no more."
Vaermina: "My servant, Galthis, has betrayed me. He serves Molag Bal now. He closed his mind to me and infected the dreams of High King Emeric."
Vaermina: "Punish him. Step into my mirror to enter High King Emeric's dream. Destroy Galthis and bring me his skull."
High King Emeric: "You! I dreamed of you. Please, you must help. Follow me."
High King Emeric: "What you see around us is my nightmare. My subjects suffer. I am a prisoner in my own dreams, and my sanity bleeds away."
High King Emeric: "The dream mage, Galthis, made things this way. He is a doppelganger. He can look like anyone, be anyone."
High King Emeric: "Galthis is not here, but a portal in my manor connects my mind to his. The portal is guarded by three shadows: a knight, a thief, and a captain."
High King Emeric: "Each shadow holds a key. Collect the keys and you can use Galthis' own portal to step into his mind."
High King Emeric: "You must kill Galthis. If you don't, he will take over my mind, and the Covenant will fall."

Wind Keep[edit]

Lord Henri Manteau is counting taxes collected in Wind Keep and notes that several citizens did not pay all that they owe, threatening to kill them over it. His wife, Countess Ilise Manteau, has also been acting strangely.

  • I've been in the count's employ for almost a decade. \n\nMany call him a shrewd negotiator. People he's bested in negotiatons call him greedy.\n\nThat's not my call. The count's been more than fair with his guards and his staff.
  • If you ask me, the lady has a low opinion of anyone who isn't nobleborn. That includes us. \n\nIt's irksome to listen to her complain about us when we're the ones who keep her from harm.\n\nOf course, you didn't hear that from me.
  • Excellent! I've only threatened to kill two citizens for non-payment so far, but that still upsets my wife.\n\nMy wife, Countess Ilise, is Lady-Mayor. Please pay your respects to her and give her the treasury's key. I cannot see her while I'm counting.
