Detailed Walkthrough

You would have needed to use Mittens' favorite food, Cat Food to attract him. The item description read: Use this near Teroni's cat to attract him. This malodorous concoction of undifferentiated gore and gristle is unusually appealing to famished felines.

You would have then been able to pick up mittens, receiving it as a quest item: Mittens the Cat or Teroni's Cat. The item description read: This lean, crafy-looking orange cat with visciously sharp claws is watching you warily from the depths of your bag.
