Dialogue[edit]
Lyse will show some interest in you:
- "What a delectable morsel you are. You must be new to Galen. I'm certain I'd remember a face like yours."
- Who are you?
- "Perhaps I'm a lonely widow. Or a noble in an estranged marriage, with surprisingly deep pockets.
I can be whatever interests you, my dear. I'm only looking for company. A companion with whom I might share a meal." - You're asking me to share a meal with you?
- "That was my intention, but the more I look at you, I think you might come on a little … strong for my taste. An indulgence, to be sure, but a dangerous one. One I might not survive."
- What do you mean?
- "Nothing, my dear. Nothing.
Run along, now. Forget that we even spoke. I may think of you often hereafter, but you'd do well to forget me."
If the player is a vampire, she will instead say:
- "You ... you're like me, aren't you? You've got a certain ... passion for life, one might say."
- One might say that.
- "How interesting. So few of us make it out to the Systres.
In fact, I've had the offerings of Galen to myself for so long, I've quite forgotten how to share." - Perhaps you should learn.
- "Oh, come now. I don't wish to quarrel. It's just that my methods are highly efficient. I've managed to blend in quite well here, for many years, all on my own.
Couldn't you sail over to Amenos and sate yourself on the wretches there?" - Couldn't you?
- "At my age, my palate is refined to the wholesome offerings of Galen. And when I desire dining with a bit more richness, I charter a ship to High Isle for a fortnight.
But then, I suppose it'd be poor manners to simply suggest that you starve." - If you say so.
- "I shall share with you, then. I'd rather no bad blood come between us. We'll hunt as two shadows, passing in the night.
Enjoy yourself, but do be courteous. It'd be equally poor manners for you to gorge yourself on the local fare."
