Quest-Related Events[edit]

After you witness the results of the ritual and the scattering of the pages, Gilvas will call you over:

Mouth Gilvas Vedran: "

After completing the quest the first time, he can be found at the Event Exchange, either way, speak with him to see what he has to say:

First time with Quest:
Subsequent Times:
"Traveler, the young Yensa may be on to something. Ah, forgive me. I am Gilvas Vedran, Mouth to Master Faras and his children.
If you'll lend me an ear, I have a proposal that may interest you."
What would you ask of me?
"The curse's fallout was twofold. It bound Master Faras and scattered innumerable pages to the winds. We should do everything we can to keep these secrets out of the hands of the unwitting. It'd be best if you gathered them for us."
Won't it be dangerous to bring them all back to one place?
"More dangerous than some reckless, titleless mage casting ancient spells? Hardly. Besides, if you can provide me with pages, nicely bundled, I can magically bind them.
Did I mention you'd be compensated?"
I will gather the pages.
"Welcome back. Are you willing to help us find more of the pages? I should remind you that time is of the essence."
Yes, I'm ready.
"Superb. I trust you will make the right decision on how to deliver the pages."
Of course.

After you agree to help, you will start the quest and you can ask him more questions:

"If you provide us with a bundle of these errant pages, I can ensorcell them for our protection. I for one would like to avoid any more needless curses."
I have some questions about what we're doing here.
"I would be concerned if you didn't. This is certainly no simple task, otherwise I would've hired a squire, or a trained scrib of some sort. Ask away."
How does this help us exactly? / So how does recovering the pages help us?
"Is this your first dealing with House Telvanni?
Glibness aside, Master Faras and his daughters were right. The secrets held within this tome would elevate their family beyond even their late mother's standing. You'd be doing them a great favor."
What if it's too dangerous to unveil those secrets?
"Then how fortunate for the peninsula that Master Faras and his exceptional daughters were able to contain such horrid and deadly Daedric magic.
That's the essence of a Telvanni, my dear outlander. Every situation can be turned to one's benefit."
Right. So what's your angle?
"So you do understand.
I was their mother's Mouth before she left me saddled with Master Faras. I've been torn as to which daughter would rise to take their mother's place, but with these pages, it doesn't have to be left to chance."
I have to choose one of the sisters?
"You get to choose. Now, don't let the pressure of determining the future of their house crush you just yet. You have to gather the pages first."
Where should I look for these pages again? / Where should I look for these pages?
"It should come as no surprise that magic pages have a curious ability to wind up in the strangest of places. Beneath the hooves of a beast or caught in a farmer's bundle of hay. To put it simply, you should look everywhere."

After you have collected 5 of the Esoteric Parchments, you can combine them into a Bundle of Esoteric Parchments. You can then find Gilvas at the Necrom Event Exchange and speak with him:

"It may surprise you to hear that the pages expelled by the curse number in the … well, there are a great many pages. Plenty to keep an adventurer like you busy, I assure you."
I have a bundle of pages.
"Ah, expertly done. Now then, a choice. Who do you want to benefit from your efforts, hmm?
Yensa or Tralise?"
I am ready to decide.
"Very well. If it's of any concern to you, Yensa would like to delve deep into the secrets within these pages, while ever-cautious Tralise would like to seal them away once more.
I'll leave you to decide which cause to support"
Give them to Yensa. / Give these pages to Yensa.
"Very well. I'll pass these pages along to Yensa. Let us hope that she will tread a little more cautiously than her father."
Give them to Tralise. / Give these pages to Tralise.
"Tralise it is! I'm certain she's anxious to get these pages sealed and hidden away. A pity for such knowledge to once again be lost, but such is the way of things."
Why must I choose?
"It's simple. Only one sister may rise to lead this family. You have a rare opportunity to shape the future of this house.
If you'd wish, I can provide some insight as to their capabilities."
What can you tell me about Yensa?
"Yensa faces every problem with headlong determination. In that way, she's much like a kagouti. Bullish and aggressive, but powerful. Put the pages in her care and she'll surely uncover their secrets, regardless of the dangers they pose."
What can you tell me about Tralise?
"She's always been the cautious one, shrinking even from torchbugs when she was little. I sense she'll want to lock away these pages. Admirable, of course. The peninsula would be a safer place with more mages like her."

If you choose to back out before completing the quest:

"And with that, I think we're done for today. After all, you might change your mind after you've had to deal with one sister or the other for much longer.
Lord, Mother, and Wizard, I know I do from time to time."

After completing the daily quest:

"As a Mouth it pains me to see the Master of my house in such a terrible situation. A sorry state of affairs really."
