Quest-Related Events[edit]
Enemies at the Gate[edit]
As you're leaving the mine, an injured orc will stop you:
- Namoroth: "You, outsider! Bandits broke into the village!"
He'll ask you to help with the defense of the village:
- "Bandits rushed the gates and scaled the walls. There's not enough of us to drive them back!"
- Are you all right?
- "Broken arm, it's nothing.
Stand with us. Drive these bandits into the mud!"
Before you deal with the bandits:
- "I'll be fine. You take care of those bandits!"
After you drive off the bandits:
- "My stomach hurts. I hope it isn't the curse."
The Enemy Within[edit]
Speaking to him to find about his alibi:
- "The stronghold survived because of your help. We won't forget this."
- Moramat asked me to investigate the poisoning of the well.
- "I wish we were back in the mines, even with all those spiders. At least Moramat is safe in the longhouse."
- Where were you before everyone became ill?
- "Getting battered by Sharnag. I always end up bruised, but I'm a better warrior for it.
I'm sure half the village saw me getting knocked around. You can ask anyone!"
- "Getting battered by Sharnag. I always end up bruised, but I'm a better warrior for it.
- Why weren't you affected by the poison?
- "Seems a week doesn't pass without a spider bite in the mines. Comes with the job. I suppose old bites and dizzy spells kept me safe from the poison.
I don't know what else to say."
Any question you ask, he will be embarrassed:
-
- You seem nervous, is there something you aren't telling me?
- "Nothing! I'm a horrible liar. Everybody knows it.
Look, the chief got sick. We have a history, and I don't want Moramat to think I poisoned him, all right? That'd be terrible."- What's your problem with the chief? Is it Moramat?
- "Is it that obvious? I mean, no! Nothing like that!
The chief and I disagreed over the mine's value, but we resolved things. We don't see eye-to-eye on trade matters, but I'm no traitor to the stronghold. And I'd never do anything to hurt Moramat."
