Nassophra

She is a Dremora member of the Ciphers of the Eye who can be randomly encountered while traveling in Apocrypha. She is arguing with Pania Crunus about a book they are trying to find.

Dialogue[edit]

You'll overhear the pair arguing:

Nassophra: "Wolfsbane and Bitter Teas should be in this pile. Are you going to help me, or just watch your time drift away like usual."
Pania Crunus: "Why would we be looking for a book on teas? We're here for Butterflies Among the Glade!"

Speaking to her:

"Excellent. Another mortal. I take it you were eavesdropping? So you must have heard what I have to deal with. She can't even remember which book we're been sent to find. Her mind is perpetually stuck on butterflies!"
How do you know you're remembering correctly?
"You question my memory? I could kill you for even thinking that I might be wrong.
I know exactly which book we've been sent to retrieve. Wolfhound and Sea Breeze is a classic."
Wolfhound and Sea Breeze? Not Wolfsbane and Bitter Teas?
"I…of course. I've never heard of that other book in all my years in Apocrypha."
I think you should let Pania Crunus lead the way.
"Me? Be led around by that mortal? Never.
That being said, I may allow her to retrieve that butterfly book. Maybe the humiliation of being wrong in front of all the other ciphers will teach her a lesson."
And if she's right?
"She isn't.
But you don't know, maybe I'm testing her. And, if I am and her insistence on that dreadful tome is correct, then we will be praised and none will be the wiser."
You must be right. I probably misheard.
"Finally, a mortal that knows not to question my mind. If only my companion were so aware of my superior intelligence. She doesn't even know that I recovered that book a few centuries ago. It's not lost, It's [sic] where I left it."
You already found Pania's book?
"Of course. I've recovered a sizable number of the books here. If it weren't for the mortals moving them or misplacing them, I'd have organized a large portion of the realm. Your kind's memory is too fickle to keep track of these priceless tomes."

You can repeat this conversation with her until you convince Nassophra to follow Pania, after which they will have the following exchange:

Nassophra: "I may have switched the titles of the books in my mind. Butterflies in the Glade, yet?"
Pania Crunus: "Really? All right. I think my book's over this way."
