Master Writ Frequency[edit]
Adding this here for whomever wishes to see it. Directly from patch notes: The frequency of Master Writ invites from standard Writ boxes is based on the overall associated tradeskill mastery possessed by the character. This includes research, Motif knowledge, and achievement completion. Blacksmithing, Clothing, and Woodworking Master Writ drop rates are based on trait research and motif knowledge. Alchemy is based on reagent effect knowledge. Enchanting is based on known translations. Provisioning is based on recipe knowledge. (Purple and Gold) Timeoin (talk)•
Stolen Tag[edit]
I have heard, though not yet been able to test, that stolen items give less Inspiration than normal or laundered items when deconstructed. Is there any reliable information on this? --24.131.200.138 22:47, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
- This is mostly true. Items stolen directly, like white armour pieces lying around on tables, give almost no inspiration or materials when deconstructed. Items from Thieves Troves while marked as stolen still give normal inspiration and materials when deconstructed. Contraptions (talk) 04:12, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
Can we remove the extra link for Crafting Writs? - It just makes users click another link when it could be direct[edit]
On the main Crafting Page there is the link for Crafting Writs
https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Crafting#Crafting_Writs
But the landing page for that link is just another landing page forcing users to "See Main Article"
https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Crafting_Writs
Since the Crafting Writs page is too large to append to the main Crafting page it would make it much simpler for users to have a single click to the Crafting Writs main page.
Suggest the Main Crafting Page link for Crafting Writs be changed to
https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Crafting_Writs

Material-based Inspiration boost?[edit]
The page is pretty clear that deconstructing higher-quality items gives more inspiration, but it's not just a white/green/blue/etc. thing. Deconstructing higher-level gear also gives a pretty significant inspiration boost. So if you'd be level-capped at Dwarven gear, for example, you seem to get boosted inspiration from deconstructing stuff made from Ebony or higher materials. The problem (I think) is that you don't get materials back by doing it; it's just additional inspiration. It's possible that you might get some mats back from the next-higher tier (need to do some more checking), but definitely nothing but inspiration for stuff higher than that.
