Shivering talk:Atrabhi (Mania)
Split Residents[edit]
Conversation moved from User talk:SerCenKing
Hey SerC. After reading your page on Athrabi, I had a few ideas about how to handle the dialogue/rumors-sections of the Split pages. As a general rule, I think it would be quite useful to explain the “differences” between the two in their respective intro’s to inform what the counterpart is like. And I suggest that we include both their “own” dialogue on the page – as well as what the counterpart has to say about them (as sort of a “rumors”-section). It might sound confusing (and it is quite redundant), but I really think the info should be on both pages. Thoughts? Krusty 18:55, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- I would say that in this case it's fine to be a little redundant. I mean, we usually list what person A says about person B in person B's 'rumors' section but since these are effectively 'one' person it would be informative and helpful to have them on both pages. So it's a definite go-ahead from me. :) --SerCenKing Talk 20:18, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- Okay it would look something like this - dialogue first, and "rumors" second:
- When you approach her she will immediately begin to nag about all the doubles running around town: ”Someone should write a book about the problems we’re having with our doubles here in Split.” And when asked about the doubles, she will express her hatred towards her own counterpart: ”I can’t concentrate on my reading with that other version of me walking around. It’s terrible. A curse!” And she will conclude: ”Sure would be nice to read something about the other Atrabhi. Like an epitaph.”
-
- Across the street, her compulsive lying counterpart will tell you a slew of lies about HER double: ”I’ve never seen my own double. And I certainly don’t want to talk about it.” On the subject of doubles, she will come up with even more lies: ”I love the other Atrabhi! And I certainly wouldn’t be happy if you killed her. Really, I wouldn’t be happy at all. If she were dead. I swear.” and she will conclude: ”I sure am glad that other Atrabhi is around! I sure don’t want her dead!”
- And vice versa when we "switch" pages. Is that an okay way to do it? Everybody feel free to chime in! --Krusty 23:38, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

- Looks pretty good to me, here's my rephrasing XD:

-
- The first time you approach her she will immediately begin to nag about all the doubles running around town: ”Someone should write a book about the problems we’re having with our doubles here in Split.” When you enquire further, she will express her hatred towards her own counterpart: ”I can’t concentrate on my reading with that other version of me walking around. It’s terrible. A curse!” And she will conclude: ”Sure would be nice to read something about the other Atrabhi. Like an epitaph.”

- Across the street, her compulsive lying counterpart won't miss the chance to slander about HER double: ”I’ve never seen my own double.

Unused?[edit]
I'm certain I've heard those "unused" greetings in-game before. --Legoless 14:10, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds odd. Before the quest, the related dialogue will always take precedence. After the quest, there will be a 50/50 percent change of her giving you the first of the greetings - or commend you for a job well done. I'll try and double-check later tonight. --Krusty 14:44, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Negative. Tested before quest, after the quest, after waiting three days after quest - and after Main Quest. If you ever heard the lines, I'd be most interested in how you did it. --Krusty 20:12, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

- Strange. I specifically remember the line about being like the character from her book. Perhaps the USIP fixes it. --Legoless 22:01, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- I hope so; Mxk went through a lot of uploading. On the other hand, it's not listed on the USIP page - and I'm out of ideas, unless of course that the greetings will differ depending on where you are in the main quest. Would be typical SI-behavior! Can you see any conditions? --Krusty 22:12, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

- Nope, the only condition is for the NPC to be Atrabhi. --Legoless 22:19, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
