Skyrim talk:The Apprentice Stone
Question[edit]
There are three different stories about what this stone does. Which is correct?
- The article currently says the stone gives +100% magicka regeneration and +100 weakness to enemy magic.
- In-game, the stone's description says it increases your magicka regeneration rate while increasing magicka damage (i.e. damage to your magica, typically by lightning attacks).
- In-game, under "Active Effects", it says it doubles your magicka regeneration, and doubles your weakness to magic spells.
I'm guessing the last one is correct, but I don't know. The article should reflect both the actual effects, and address mistakes.
Further, does damage from magic include damage from enemies that were conjured/resurrected by magic? (guessing not, but who knows)
Does double damage mean only your health damage, or also double stamina (frost) and magicka (lightning) damage? — Unsigned comment by 95.8.139.228 (talk) at 16:36 on 11 May 2012 (UTC)
- The article means that you're twice as vulnerable to magicka damage, as in damage from magical attacks - and not damage to your magicka supply. All three of those are are correct, the only one that states it's abilities incorrectly is the loading screen tip. I'll link the magical effects the stone gives to help clarify this, sorry for the misunderstanding. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 16:36, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
Mor Demage[edit]
I have read on Atronach discussion page: "Because of the way that the Blizzard Master-level Destruction spell works, the greater the magnitude of the weakness to frost, the more powerful the spell". Its worth mentioning, if corect master Destruction spell can greatly benifit. In Oblivion same thing whas posible, whit difrance that only on selff spells wer effected before they pached it. Im not into mages atm if some one have time to test, will be intresting to know results. — Unsigned comment by NEVER BoRN (talk • contribs) at 01:48 on 1 March 2014
Only during combat[edit]
I think this line under Notes is incorrect: "You only get the 100% Magicka regeneration when not in battle." I just looked in the CK and there are no conditions on the ability or magic effect that look for combat. Bethesda did include a magicka/stamina regen nerf while in combat for reasons that presumably made sense to whoever put it there, but that affects the base mult rate and is independent of this stone. I see no reason why you wouldn't get a 100% boost to the nerfed rate while in combat and a 100% boost to the normal rate out of combat. --67.142.170.26 09:10, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
