Daryos Varen is a Dark Elf noble who lives in his manor in Akamora. He is allied to Rolam Salenith and their families run the local egg mine together. Unlike most of the nobility in Akamora he is not a member of Great House Indoril. The player may encounter Daryos during the Fighters Guild questline as he may have had something to do with the theft of a trader's ledger.
He wears an expensive shirt with matching pants and shoes and also carries a silver dagger. Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows no spells.

Dialogue[edit]
- Akamora: "A city of fetchers, s'wits and n'wah. My friend Rolam Salenith is the only person here who I do not completely despise in every way conceivable."
- Akamora Egg Mines: "I'm the 'proud' owner of the Varen-Salenith Egg Mine, a useless hole in the cliff I inherited from my father. It is a constant source of frustration and disappointment."
- Background: "Who? Me? %Name is the name. My family has a long history here in Akamora, though after my sister abandoned our lineage for that low-class s'wit Alinal Veri, I am the only one left."
- Clibergus's ledger: "You're looking for that stupid book of his? I guess I should give it back. It was entertaining for a little while, though. Akamora is such a dull place to live. When Clibergus Celata disturbed my house with his filthy second-class wares I told Risbanji to steal his ledger when he wasn't looking. If you want that book back so badly, ask Risbanji if she still has it. I have no use for it anymore."
