By the time you get this note, I should be far enough away from this cursed city. I'm sorry I didn't stay to thank you in person. I was too worried the Duke's men would find me if I stayed in Old Ebonheart too long. I'm afraid I can't tell you where I went. This note could be found and you've seen how stubborn he is yourself.

Words cannot express my gratitude, I will never forget your kindness. I left you one of the amulets he gifted me. It's enchanted, but I'm not skilled with magic, so I don't know what it does. I hope it serves you well and thank you again.
