Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
He Smiles, but She Never Sees[edit]
Atop the guard tower in Ranyon-ruhn stands Simeth. The door to the tower is opposite the temple, or Levitation can be used to reach him. If his disposition towards you is 30 or above, he will confess his love for Nataya Radasar, the woman who stands guard in front of Tel Aranyon. If it is 60 or above, he opens up a bit more and tells you that he enjoys watching her standing guard, but that she never seems to notice him doing the same.
Simeth goes on to tell you that Nataya's father was a good friend of Master Mithras and that Mithras was given his sword, Blightcutter, after his death. Simeth believes that Nataya would love to get the sword back and asks you to retrieve it and hand it to Nataya on his behalf. He doesn't believe that Mithras could possibly refuse.
Sword Loser[edit]
There's only one problem with asking Mithras for the sword: he has a deep hatred of all things Hlaalu and Imperial. If you are a member of House Hlaalu, the Imperial Legion or the Imperial Cult, he will dismiss your request out of hand. If you are in none of these three factions, he will gladly hand over the sword, asking you to tell Simeth to take good care of Nataya.
If you are in any one of the three proscribed factions, you will need to procure the sword by more direct means. A journal update suggests that he might keep the sword in his private quarters. The quickest route is to take the door nearest Master Mithras to the outside and then levitate to the entrance, which is just to the south. The sword is on a shelf along with some soul gems and alchemical ingredients.
A Sword to the Heart[edit]
However you retrieve the sword, take it to Nataya who will be found patrolling the entrance to Tel Aranyon. She is surprised and pleased in equal measure and tells you that she wants to thank Simeth personally.
When you take the good news to Simeth, he will reward you with a copy of Map of the Telvanni Isles.
Notes[edit]
- Each time you laugh at Simeth's confession of love it will drop his disposition towards you by five points; if you ask him to continue telling his story, it increases by five.

5 | While in Ranyon-ruhn, I met a Dunmer named Simeth. He is in love with Nataya Radasar, the woman who stands guard in front of Tel Aranyon, but has never gained her attention. Simeth believes that Nataya isn't the tough soldier she wants to look like, but is a very sensitive person. He wants me to help him, for the sake of love.
10 | According to Simeth, the local Telvanni lord, Master Mithras, was a friend of Nataya's father and keeps his sword in Tel Aranyon. Bringing that sword to Nataya could warm up her heart, at the very least. I am to ask Master Mithras for that sword.
20 | Master Mithras was amused to hear about Simeth's feelings for Nataya Radasar and handed me the sword at once. I should now give it to Natatya on behalf of Simeth.
25 | I gave the sword to Nataya Radasar, who admitted her surprise and pleasure. Furthermore, she would love to thank Simeth personally. I should bring him the good news.
30 | Master Mithras refused to give me the Blightcutter, the sword of Nataya's father. I'm afraid I will have to find it and get it myself. Since it's so valuable to him, it might be located in his private quarters.
35 | At last, I found the Blightcutter, the sword of Nataya's father. I should give it to her immediately.
38 | I gave the sword to Nataya Radasar, who admitted her surprise and pleasure. Furthermore, she would love to thank Simeth personally. I should bring him the good news.
40 | Simeth was overwhelmed with joy upon learning of my success. He gave me a useful book as a token of gratitude and invited me to visit him whenever I want. |
