Part-Time Contract[edit]

The only thing we regularly contract is artwork for various purposes. If you are an artist and would like to be considered for future jobs just Send Us Your Info and portfolio.

Full-Time[edit]

The UESP currently only has 3 full-time employees/contractors and as we grow we will eventually need more. Look here for specific job openings.

Junior+ PHP Developer[edit]

We're looking for a full-time PHP developer. While the job position is listed as "Junior" the experience level is flexible along with the salary, up to a point that we can afford (senior PHP salaries are a little outside of what we are able to afford at this time).   • Job Summary: The Unofficial Elder Scrolls pages is looking for a PHP developer to help us with maintain and create all the custom code that helps make UESP.net the best Elder Scrolls fan site. As we look towards the future of expanding to Starfield we will need even more PHP projects. You can find most of our existing code at https://github.com/uesp which includes projects like:
The majority of the site code is in PHP with a fair amount of JavaScript for the client side. Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is useful along with MySQL for querying data.
  • About Us: The UESP is the oldest (and best) Elder Scrolls fan site having started on the web way back in 1995 (27 years ago). Since 2012 we have been operating as a wiki using the MediaWiki software but have a large amount of custom code to modify the wiki to fit our purposes and for the other services we provide. We currently only have two full-time employees and are looking forward to finding another member of the team!
  • Responsibilities and Duties: Your job will include (but not limited to):
  • Maintain and improve existing UESP codebase
  • Create new code for Starfield and eventually ES6
  • Document and improve the UESP development and testing process
  • Regular video meetings and Discord for collaboration (need to be comfortable speaking/writing English)
  • Required Skills and Qualifications: Note: We don't expect candidates to have a lot of experience in all skills but you will be expected to learn and work with all of them at some point.

  • Useful Skills and Qualifications: None of the following skills are required but will definitely be useful.
  • Front End Experience/Knowledge (JavaScript/CSS/HTML)
  • MediaWiki usage and extension development
  • WordPress usage and plugin development
  • Lua/Scribunto
  • Git/GitHub
  • Bash/Shell command line usage and scripting
  • Any Elder Scrolls games
  • UESP Wiki/Community familiarity
  • Compensation:
  • Salary: Starting at $50K CAD (mainly depending on relevant experience level)

Unpaid Intern/Volunteer[edit]

If you're looking for some experience you can put on your resume we might have some small projects you can help with that include:

Specific Projects[edit]

  • Looking for an experienced ESO player and Build Editor user to help manage, test, and edit the editor data and rules.

Existing Jobs[edit]

The UESP currently employs the following people on a full or part time basis.

  • Owner/Server Admin -- Dave Humphrey (Fulltime 2012 to Present)
  • Dave manages the overall business and most of the server side administration and programming.
  • Social Media Manager -- AKB (Fulltime 2018 to Present)
  • AKB manages all the social media accounts and most of the Patreon campaign in addition to various data/content work on the wikis.
  • Front End Developer -- ThalJ (Part Time 2019-2021, Fulltime 2021 to Present)
  • ThalJ develops all the site apps and handles most of the front-end UI work on the wiki and other sites.
  • YouTube Producer/Editor -- Lucien (Part Time 2023 to Present)
  • Lucien is currently creating Youtube videos for our Starfield channel and may start doing Elder Scrolls videos as well in the future.
