99% of the time I come here for tes information.

An invaluable resource for both playing TES games and tinkering with their inner workings. The site's not perfect, by any means, but UESP is far and away the best resource on the web for those times you really need an item, cell, or NPC id to do a quick bug-fix or mess around in the console. The Imperial Library is the more comprehensive source for TES lore, but UESP is no slouch in that regard; itâ€™s updated more regularly and has a larger and more active collaborative base, and is almost always my first port-of-call for those burning lore questions. One of the site features I am most grateful for is the Tamriel Rebuilt content; itâ€™s a life saver!

Articles lack sections with sub-headlines, appear as walls of text.
Articles tend to be useful and well laid-out.
At first it took me slightly longer to get used to the format of the uesp. I came from using other wikias which were more basic and had no learning curve. Once I figured out how the layout was, I picked it up quickly and felt like I gained more information from this layout than others.

Been very helpful with my gameplay
Before, I was just using it to help me with quests in Oblivion (particularly quests that had me look for unmarked items), but now, I use it to learn more about the lore of Nirn and the Elder Scrolls world. I really find it useful and informative.
Being a wiki, accuracy of any given article is inherently less than 100%, but I've found that I can trust the content on UESP far more than I can with a random Wikia site. Quality control is done very well here, and that is the key for me; the consistent reliability of the website's information (compared to competing websites and wikis in general) makes UESP an easy recommendation for anyone looking for Elder Scrolls reference.
Being that I've just joined, my opinion is nuetral.

By far, the best website for researching lore and getting help with the games. While I realize that there is only so much information can be extracted from books and games, many of the pages could be a tad more detailed.

I miss that it no longer takes you directly to the related article for the latest game, and instead presents a list of all pages matching those key words. Can get difficult to find what should otherwise be a simple search.

I picked up oblivion in 08-09 (you could say that I'm a young gamer), and ever since I have been hooked on the elder scrolls. I have since had the chance to play all 5 main titles of the series. UESP has provided me with tips to get through the difficult quests and miscellaneous information to help envelop myself in the mystical world of Tamriel(and the worlds beyond).
I play all TES since Morrowind and UESP has virtually ALL information I ever needed.
I practically leave it running 100% of the time that I'm on Skyrim or Oblivion.
I prefer this site in comparison to the Elder Scrolls Wiki due to the amount of depth and information it has. It's really good for a high level of comprehension.

Page layout is excellent, information is comprehensive, and design is attractive. The writing style of the articles themselves is occasionally dull or poor, but that's natural with all wikis.
People are friendly, edits are well-patrolled, and information is sound.
Periodically I visit the site and find that fairly detailed articles have undergone massive unneded overhauls that seldom if ever seem to be finished. This is mostly in the Oblivion and Skyrim sections for some reason, and is a source of minor frustration to me as I have a much more difficult time finding the information I need for those two games then I do virtually any other game in the elder scrolls series. I was able to complete every quest in morrowind and it's expansions, as well as identify more then a few crucial mods to install with help of the rather detailed sections for Morrowind. I've had no real such advantage with Skyrim or Oblivion related sections. Please if something could be done about that I would greatly appreciate it.

Smaller articles lacking in depth
So far I found most of the information I have looked for. One critism is that some information if difficult to find or not on the site. I am playing Oblivion and I am 130 hours into the game. I still don't know if sleeping or waiting has any affect on the game for instance. I am not doing the main quest because I don't want to finish it and then maybe this has a negative effects on side quests ect.
So far this site is the best place to get Elder Scrolls information. I can just sit and read random articles for hours.

Some of the other users are a unwilling to see any dramatic changes to the pages, even if it makes the page more accurate to the lore.
Some pages are still left incomplete and tatty, and it would be simple to fix this. I understand that there are many pages to create, and it takes a lot of effort to do them, but it does take away from the overall feel.

There are a few words in the dragon language section (the only UESP page I ever visit) that are not cited and there are a lot with only a single citation whereas a word may be spoken by multiple dragons/characters. I feel addressing the missing citations and adding multiple citations will increase the validity of a word and ensure no fake words are thrown in the mix.
There are can occasionally be some conflicting or inconsistent information about certain subjects, especially in the Skyrim section, but other than that it's argueably the most complete and consistent source on elder scrolls information on the internet!
There are some duplicate articles which can be improved, but on a general level it is easy to navigate.

When I first made an account, many of the mentors helpedme greatly.
When I look for something about TES, my first pick is definitely UESP :)

with tes3 and 4 it was great, but the lack of information on tes5 is bigger than I expected
With the latest expansion to the TES series I have found UESP lacking a lot of information. The articles about Skyrim needs the same depth and detail as the articles about Oblivion!
