Hidden Loot[edit]
Thanks for the amazing work, but I was wondering if you had the time to add in the locations of hidden loot, like stuff in tree stumps along the Bitter Coast, or the loot on the exterior of Arkngthunch-Sturdumz? The Morrowind Prophecies has a pretty good list of most of these things if you need a reference. Thanks again. — Unsigned comment by 98.230.36.233 (talk) at 12:42 on April 18, 2011
- I don't have that book, but if you can give us a list, we can probably add them. We already mention some of the stashes here, but I don't know of anything on the exterior of Arkngthunch-Sturdumz. rpeh •T•C•E• 06:27, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

- Continuing off of this 12 years later... how do we get coordinates to give you? An example of 3 missing markers at Seyda Neen - A tree stump: Fargoth's stuff, An Iron Shardaxe hidden in a tree stump, A silverware cup and 25 gold in a tree stump. --NightBlade09 (talk) 03:22, 22 May 2023 (UTC)

- Our interactive maps are currently being overhauled. Your best bet would be to join the #wiki-maps Discord channel to get support with adding these hidden loot locations. —Legoless (talk) 09:21, 22 May 2023 (UTC)

New Map Markers[edit]
I've made a bunch of custom map markers as a personal project, but decided to offer them up for use with the map if you want. Check them out on my sandbox. I'd like to help out with the maps in any way, just let me know what I can do. I dream of being a cartographer! Pardot 18:19, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
- Those are all rather nice. Unless someone objects, I'll upload them to the server and start changing the MW map over to use them. I won't do that until you've done all the extra changes you list at the bottom of the page though - I don't want to have to fiddle twice. rpeh •T•C•E• 20:14, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

- The edits are done and the new icons have been made. I don't have any alternates but if anyone else has some suggestions feel free to share. Pardot 23:13, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

- Pretty sure only Daveh or possibly Nephele have the rights needed to change the icons displayed on the map. I have Cartographer rights, so I can edit the map, but it only lets me choose the type of the marker from a drop-down list, rather than choosing the icon directly by name. --TheRealLurlock Talk 04:04, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

Dead Gaar[edit]

Something wrong with map[edit]
I get this error when attempting to access map:
This web site needs a different Google Maps API key. A new key can be generated at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html.
It then says:
Sorry, the Google Maps API is not compatible with this browser!
It does not occur to me that I have changed anything recently, is anyone else having trouble with the map? Godel 06:20, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- It's all fine for me. Make sure you're accessing the site using http://www.uesp.net as the base URL. If it's still not working, do all the usual things like hard-refreshing your browser. rpeh •T•C•E• 06:24, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Ah yes, all is well again. I'm not sure what was making it not work, perhaps it could be as you said, the incorrect url. Godel 10:53, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
Sunken boat not on map![edit]
There is a sunken boat a little north west of the neglected shipwreck near khartog point, that is not on the map. It is completely submerged under water and only has a few barrels floating beneath it. The barrels only contain clothes and food.
Andre Maul's Tower[edit]
The Wiki link for Andre Maul's Tower goes to "Andre Maul", rather than to "Andre Maul's Tower" --Brf 21:58, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
- I think I've fixed that. I've got major computer problems at the moment so this could use checking. rpeh •T•C•E• 22:14, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

- It works for me. --Legoless 23:17, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
directions please[edit]
it would greatly help if you added a small compass to the map to ensure your east is my east, my north is your north and so on. i'm assuming the top of the map is north, but having something on it to that affect would help. thanks. — Unsigned comment by 69.166.88.141 (talk) on 16 July 2011
- Err... no. It's pretty clear. Just as in the game, up is North. Why would we do it any other way? rpeh •T•C•E• 18:56, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
A Tamriel map[edit]
Wold be incredible if you guys can make a Tamriel map instead only a Morrowind map (looking to the future, maybe a Nirn map and a mod that add google in the Elder Scroll Games xD) Good work ;) — Unsigned comment by 190.173.125.238 (talk) on 1:03, 1 August 2011
- Well, I suppose it's a good idea. Just an especially ambitious one! :D I don't mean to disappoint (because I'm certainly no pro at this) but from my experience the wiki tends to complete massive projects like this rather slowly. Even if we did set out on such a project (which we may eventually; who knows?) it would take quite a while to complete, especially since so few users can actually work on this map. But let's hear some other opinions.--Kalis AgeaYes? Contrib E-mail 01:09, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

- We also have Oblivion and SI maps, don't forget! A full map of Tamriel is on my list of things to think about, but there's no way it's going to happen any time soon. Our good friends in Germany have done this, though, which sounds like the sort of thing you're looking for. rpeh •T•C•E• 09:49, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
Travelling[edit]
Hi, I just had an idea. Wouldn't it be great to have the travelling routes (silt strider, boat) in the map? Don't know if this is possible. — Unsigned comment by 188.107.5.230 (talk) on 10 October 2011
- I think it'd be distracting. Morrowind:Transport does the job well enough. rpeh •T•C•E• 13:55, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
Get Directions Option[edit]
I know this is asking too much of you, but is there any way you could put a "Get Directions" option? I'm not sure how they do it in Google Maps, but they let you type in a starting point and destination, and give you route options telling you how far it is, with instructions on how to get there, and a highlighted path. If you know how to do it, and it isn't too much trouble, could you please do something similar? — Unsigned comment by 70.26.52.252 (talk) on 29 January 2012
- The main reason for that option in Google is that you can't pause the world and bring up a map while driving, and that the real world has one-way systems, cul-de-sacs and other obstructions. In Morrowind, pick a direction and head that way. It's a nice idea, but the answer is "no". rpeh •T•C•E• 19:23, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
Random Island[edit]
I kinda am confused about the random island in the top left corner of the morrowind map. If anyone has any updates on it or if it was put there for no reason, someone please tell me.
- That is Solstheim. You do there during the Bloodmoon expnsion. ESQuestion?•Email•Contribs 12:22, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
Mount Assarnibibi off a bit[edit]
Icon is in the path SW of the shrine, not in the middle of the circle of rocks where the shrine actually is.
Gglazer 00:15, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- Ok... Is this a problem in some way? I haven't got my Morrowind on hand, but maybe it is showing where the cell itself starts. Being slightly off is not a problem, as long as it is in the general vicinity. ESQuestion?•Email•Contribs 01:04, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
EDIT: I looked at the map myself, and it is only a couple of feet off to the side. That is not a problem at all. It's close enough ESQuestion?•Email•Contribs 01:07, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Possible Sunken Ruins[edit]
I may be wrong about this (I discovered it a few years ago and it might just be my imagination), but I seem to remember discovering some wierd sunken ruins ruins WAY out in the ocean. I found them by climbing to the top of one of the gaurd towers in Balmora, using a "Scroll of Icarian Flight" to jump off to the west, then landing in the middle of the ocean above some underwater ruins. I saw a chest and started swiming for it and was then attacked by dreughs and died. Maybe you could check this and see if it's true, and if it is, mark it on the map. Who knows, maybe there are more than just this one, waiting to be discovered! — Unsigned comment by 216.164.9.216 (talk) at 22:49 on 12 June 2012
- That's probably the lost shrine of Boethiah. See Boethiah's Quest. Trust me, with the construction kit available and over a decade since the game came out, it's not likely that you're going to find any secrets of much significance that aren't already known about. --TheRealLurlock Talk 12:48, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
Morrowind:Mages guild not pointing to the right place[edit]
In the map, Morrowind:Mages_guild isn't pointing to the article http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Mages_Guild probably due to the lower case g. Ninti 00:25, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the report. This has now been fixed. – Robin Hood↝talk 19:18, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
azura's shrine[edit]
Azura's shrine is not on the map. — Unsigned comment by 184.99.147.145 (talk) at 05:11 on 28 July 2012 (UTC)
Kaushtababi Camp[edit]
I was looking for Kaushtababi Camp because the master trainer for Athletics is there. It only came up with [his yurt], not the camp. Counter-intuitive IMHO as the wiki gives his location as the camp most prominently. I'd suggest adding the camp to the map, or even replacing the personal yurt marker with the camp marker. PReDiToR 19:48, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not all that familiar with Morrowind, but it looks to me like Adibael is normally in his yurt, and his yurt pretty much is Kaushtababi Camp. At least in a quick run around the area, it was the only thing that had a map marker besides Redas Ancestral Tomb, and everybody mentioned on the Kaushtababi Camp page was either in the yurt or in sight of it. – Robin Hood↝talk 23:25, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Map Editions[edit]
I think it'd be really nice to have an option to see boat and Silt Stider routes. I'd also like to see every cave and small camp, and other pointless points of interest an option to find. Thanks. 66.137.49.231 01:32, 14 January 2013 (GMT)
The Map no longer works 27-Nov-2013[edit]
I've used this map for years and now it no longer works. I saw the post about Google apis, but this means nothing to my b-b sized brain. I've tried the map in Chrome and IE11 and nothing shows up. Can anyone help me with this? It's such a wonderful resource and I appreciate all the work put into it by you folks who are WAY smarter than I. Dynan 174.69.111.141 11:45, 27 November 2013 (GMT)
- I've let Dave know. Thank you for reporting the issue, so it might be cleared up sooner! --AKB Talk Cont Mail 14:29, 27 November 2013 (GMT)

- It appears to be working fine for me. Have you tried doing a full reload of the map (Ctrl+F5 in most browsers I think). If that doesn't work let me know what is broken (i.e., is it a blank page, is there an error message, do locations not appear, etc...) and I'll look into it further. -- Daveh (talk) 14:32, 27 November 2013 (GMT)

- Ahh right...the old map. The old ones won't work much longer as Google deprecated/retired the v2 API this month. I assume this may be the issue as I haven't touched the old maps at all. I'll forward the old maps to the new maps automatically to prevent this confusion now that the new ones appear to be working well. -- Daveh (talk) 15:34, 27 November 2013 (GMT)

(←) (edit conflict) I was just about to request the old maps were redirected to the new ones to avoid confusion. Hopefully that will avoid confusion over this in the future. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 15:37, 27 November 2013 (GMT)
- Just confirming that this is indeed due to the Google v2 map API no longer being supported. I'll forward the old maps to the new ones shortly on the server side. -- Daveh (talk) 15:43, 27 November 2013 (GMT)

- Can the parameters be forwarded as well? Currently, old links like this one only forward to the main map without centering on the requested location. Alternatively, I can go through and convert any manual links to Map Links. – Robin Hood (talk) 19:32, 27 November 2013 (GMT)
Silt Strider, Molag Amur[edit]
Dilami Androm's spot is marked on the map as "Silt Strider, Molag Amur". Although technically correct, for consistency with the other caravaners, it should be "Silt Strider, Molag Mar". — Unsigned comment by Salamangkero (talk • contribs) at 08:38 on 28 April 2015
- I came here looking for this very comment. The in-game map indicates that it should be Silt Strider, Molag Mar.
- --NibKing (talk) 09:06, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
-
- I fixed it so the marker says Molag Mar. There seems to be a hidden map marker for each silt strider as well and the other one was correctly named. —Dillonn241 (talk) 03:31, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
Yassu Mine[edit]
- Discussion moved from Morrowind talk:Yassu Mine#Error in map

Dagoth Ur facility[edit]
Perhaps we should change the link on the map for Dagoth Ur (Facility) to Dagoth Ur (facility) since the page with the capitalized F has been deleted. May as well link to the proper page with the lowercase f rather than linking to a deleted page and then linking to a functioning page, or at least I think so. --Dragos Drakkar (talk) 03:45, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
Dren Plantation[edit]
The links on the map for some of the shacks at Dren Plantation lead to non-existant pages, such as "Morrowind:Rethan" or "Morrowind:Doves" for their respective homes. I suggest removing the dead links to avoid confusion. The one working link, for "Morrowind:Guldrise Dralor" should be kept, as she offers Training, but the other pages have been deleted so the map should scrap them as well. As for the link for Dren's Villa, "Morrowind:Dren", should be changed to his actual page, "Morrowind:Orvas Dren" --TdkFloyd (talk) 03:57, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- The links are broken by virtue of the map cutting off any links at the apostrophe. It isn't just these links broken, its every link with an apostrophe. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 01:46, 9 October 2017 (UTC)

- The issue was resolved, that is an entirely different case. I don't know why there is a location marker for Kogoruhn, Charma's Breath, someone with the game can say if it exists. It is to the south of Kogoruhn, on which page Charma's Breath is included as a console location id. All map markers should have a page, even if it just a redirect in the case of Charma's Breath. Solstheim locations attempt to link to 'Morrowind:' articles instead of 'Bloodmoon:' articles[edit]
All the locations in Solstheim attempt to link to 'Morrowind:' articles instead of 'Bloodmoon:' articles. Consequently none of the links work properly. Theoretically it might be possible to automate this change with a script by using the placenames from Bloodmoon:Places or Category:Bloodmoon-Places.
(For some reason I had to use an external link for the latter article as using an internal link was simply causing the text to vanish. It seems to be an issue with 'Category:' specifically.)
Pharap (talk) 11:10, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
- Categories links assume you are trying to add a page to that category, as that's their primary function. If you want to link a category with wiki code, you can use [[:Category:Bloodmoon-Places|Category:Bloodmoon-PLaces]], although their isn't any major issue with using an external link in this case. Thank you for pointing the issue with the links on the maps out. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 14:16, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
Unmarket Pylgrim's lantern[edit]
It's on the isle on the north of Khuul, maybe it should be market as it's one of three best light sources (and almost permanent) in entire game (1 of 2 if we not have Blood Moon expansion) ?--87.207.108.197 12:09, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
