User Facts and Opinions

• I'm an Old Guy, married with two kids 12 (girl) and 9 (boy). I'm an IT tech-of-all-trades (well, maybe not all...many, for sure...but I didn't want to ruin the rhythm of the phrase), a technical writer, and a semipro orchestra and band musician.

• I've played all the ES main series games to completion and then some. Not a fan of the lore, but I like the games. Couldn't get into Redguard. Never tried Battlespire.

• I will say that I probably know as much about Arena as anyone. I mean this literally. Because it's lonely at the top, I'm doing my best to bring the Arena part of the Wiki up to speed so everyone can benefit. Check out my dungeon maps, they're lovely.

• I know quite a bit about DF, but there are a few folks who know more than I. They know who they are.

• I'm a regular poster on the ES Past Games bulletin board. We're a fun group. Well, maybe not so much fun as nerdy. But we're still fun.

• I'm also an expert on writing. Sure, a lot of folks say that. But let me prove it: when you see a "preposition" at the end of a sentence, the great majority of the time it's functioning as an adverb. Test it for yourself if you don't believe me! In truth, the worst sin writers commonly commit is to break William Strunk's Rule 11. The second worst sin is to break William Strunk's Rule 13.

• My handle refers back to these guys, more specifically this album, not this one, which latter I don't much care for, but I'm fairly mad for most of their stuff.

• I'm a baseball fan, and in particular enjoy discussions on sabermetrics. I was a lousy baseball player, but I'm comfortable with numbers. Go White Sox!
