Thanks Benould! I think that's all the places and all NPCs that don't require a particular quest stage to appear. I can't believe it's finally down to less than one page of images required - it was nine not so long ago! – Rpeh•T•C•E• 02:08, 27 March 2008 (EDT)
-
- Amazing! 9 pages... I went ahead and linked most quest pages with existing images. Some of them were judgement calls whether to use the place or the NPCs, hope that works. Some of the tall NPC images are borderline. For quests referring to multiple places or NPCs I think we should just use the most impressive image, i.e. the best shrine image of the "Pilgrimage of the 7 graces". Cheers, Benould•T•C 04:44, 27 March 2008 (EDT)
- In most cases, that'll be fine - at least for now. I always regard using existing images for quests as a sort of placeholder until somebody can think of a better shot to use, but with many of the MW quests there's nothing that springs to mind. In any case, if somebody thinks of a better image to use, they're free to upload one. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 05:05, 27 March 2008 (EDT)

Thanks for the cookie! I think it's fair to say I've grown a bit... disillusioned with Oblivion. Morrowind, especially when augmented with Tamriel Rebuilt, is a truly engaging game. You start off being super-careful because almost anything can kill you, but end up almost being able to ignore the creatures and concentrate on exploration and finding quests and other interesting things. Oblivion becomes annoying as you level up and the creatures level up with you. At level 50 there's no way an ogre is going to kill you but you have to spend ages hacking away at it anyway. Plus, whereas Morrowind has a landscape rich in variety, Oblivion is the same damn thing over and over again. Let's hope TESV is better in that regard. – rpeh•T•C•E• 15:01, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Thank you again for your great work with the images. Your images are superb and I can´t thank you enough! :) I just wanted to ask if it is it OK for you that I keep making pages for Morrowind NPCs? I think there are a lot of Morrowind NPCs that meet the relevance criteria but do not have articles as of now and I'll gladly write them, but I feel kind of guilty giving you all this extra work having to track the NPC down and take a pic. Some of these NPCs must be pretty tedious to track down. Just wanted to know so I´m not causing you trouble. Thanks Kalrot 19:37, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- I have absolutely no problem at all with you coming up with more relevant MW NPCs. The ones you have created pages for are clearly involved in quests so should have articles, and if you find any others the same applies to them too. I've never really agreed with the decision not to document every NPC (as we do for Oblivion), and the only argument I ever saw was that it would be lots of work - something that becomes less important now there are more editors willing to do the work. That's probably a lost cause though.
- Don't worry about giving me work either: taking images has always offered a nice break from my other site activities, and I personally prefer doing MW ones as opposed to OB. In other words, I quite enjoy seeing new NPCs appear on the Image Required list. Thanks for the cookies though :) –rpeh•T•C•E• 19:47, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you, it is really nice to hear that. :) Yeah, I've read one of the old discussions about that, and I definitely agree with you. There is no real reason for it other than work as far as I see. While it is true that there may be less to say about some Morrowind NPCs since they don´t have schedules and all that, but there is still more to say about most Morrowind NPCs that some people would give credit for. I can understand if creating articles for all the generic bandits in the game is not a prioritized issue, but I would see nothing against doing it either as long as someone is willing to do it. I for one would happily contribute to such a project. If you look at the rather generous relevance criteria, you'll find that a lot of the NPCs that are currently listed as "non-relevant" actually meets at least one of the criteria. I will gladly continue to find overlooked NPCs and write articles for them as long as there is something to say about them. The fact that you successfully argued for keeping articles for NPCs they considered non-relevant before is proof that the cause may not be completely lost. Time will tell :)
- And I´m happy to hear that you enjoy taking the images, because I really enjoy it too. It always makes me glad when I write an NPC article, and later find a nice, high-quality image added to it. It really makes me feel that my work is appreciated. I wish you the best of luck! :) Kalrot 21:52, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Thank you! What a lovely extra present to find on Christmas morning :) There's going to be more to come - the trouble is that TR is so good it makes things more difficult. Thanks, SerC! It was a lot of fun to do it too. I pity the next poor swine that has to edit it, though - it's not the site's prettiest page. It's lucky we won't be getting any new Septims too - unless Bethesda really retcon the Lore. rpeh •T•C•E• 17:32, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

-
- It's just a bit confused. View the source and you'll see what I mean.
- Cephorus starts a new section because (as nb10 says) we don't know his relationship to the prior Septims, except that he was a cousin of some kind. The heir of Uriel IV was Andorak, but the Council voted to exclude him because - and you can see this in the chart too - he wasn't very closely-related to the Septim Line. In fact, he and his fathers weren't Septims at all; they were Lariats. Check out Brief History of the Empire v 3 for more. rpeh •T•C•E• 18:02, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks Krusty! It's not that I doubt the use of those pages - just that I didn't think anybody else found them useful! I'm glad that lot's finally done though. On the other hand, I've learned so much about the game internals since I started that I could probably do the whole lot again rather better. rpeh •T•C•E• 16:13, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- Do I sense a "Round 2" for you too? :Þ Oh and just for the record, I didn't "tell you off", I very gently reminded you that they were still unfinished. ;) Here, have another cookie from me too. Good work! – Robin Hood↝talk 18:32, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

- That was already round 1.5 - I had slapped WIP tags on some I'd already done because I was continually learning. And I know you weren't really telling me off - but hey. It got me to finish the damn things. rpeh •T•C•E• 19:36, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

You have been given a plateful of cookies!
AMAZING work getting all of those TR3 stubs gone! You should really consider stopping before you go insane, and before I have a nervous breakdown because you're making me feel like I should be helping out :P Just kidding of course, great job :) --SerCenKing Talk 17:38, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Wow! Thanks. I wasn't expecting anything! I've only done about 70 so there's still a LOT left to be done. Incidentally, I will get to your TR4 NPCs. I realised I didn't have a dialogue or script file and it took the CS several hours to generate the dialogue one. In the meantine I got distracted... rpeh •T•C•E• 17:44, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
- Haha, no problems - actually I'm just about to do Castameloria, Dupineon and Cartello Stirk... Let me know if you need anything. --SerCenKing Talk 17:52, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

You have been given a gold star!
It is with great honour and pleasure that I award this star, for the exceptional work you've done on the OBNPCRP. Thanks to you, we've managed to reach an important mark: 100 completed NPC pages! Great job! --SerCenKing Talk 20:31, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks SerC, even though it means the batch of cookies I was going to hand out must stay in the jar until some point in the future!
Every editor who has taken part deserves huge thanks, and even though only 100 NPCs are "finished" (and I imagine some of those will need tweaks in the future), hundreds of others are nearly there. You and Krusty deserve particular thanks, and believe me: this humble editor gives it to you with both hands. Please keep doing what you have been doing! rpeh •T•C•E• 20:35, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
- Dammit, beaten again! Rpeh, thanks for all your tireless work (and patience with my endless questions) - it's been a lot of fun and as I stated a long time ago: We WILL finish this. :) --Krusty 20:40, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

Wow and wow! That was 15 schedules on one page, yes? I have followed the progress in your Sandbox with a mixture of fascination and OBNPCRP-related horror, but there is absolutely no doubt that it is my turn to buy you a drink! A brilliant effort!! --Krusty 13:38, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

You have been given a plateful of cookies!
Just wow, a fantastic job on all those NPC images! I particularly liked the Jyggalag one, but they were all top-notch. Good to see you active as usual, I'm counting the days till I can get back here to a decent level :) All the best, --SerCenKing Talk 16:22, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

- Rpeh, last time I gave you one of these, you said it would only last you about a week. Seeing as that was well over a year ago, I figured you could probably use a restock, and what better occasion than this huh? Congratulations :) Dlarsh(T,C) 03:57, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
