Forums[edit]

Hello and welcome to UESPWiki! Thank you for your interest in contributing to the site! However, keep in mind that we have forums for informal discussion about the games, including what you think about Bethesda's item classification system. Definitely feel free to join in! If you still want to help us out here, feel free to improve articles you come across. You may want to look over our style guide and Getting Started guide. Please ask if you have any questions. —Vely►t►e 21:22, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Discerning the Transmundane[edit]

Hey there! About your edits to this page, adding/removing bugs tends to be considered minor edits by many, so don't be offended by that. Additionally, when you undid those edits, you also removed the vn=1 and the confirmed=1 from the {{Bug}} template, which I would ask you not to do. As for the exploit concerning the Oghma Infinium, we do not add exploits to regular articles because we don't want to advocate people doing something that could mess up their game. As a result, we keep all the exploits on the Glitches page. So please do not add the exploit back on the quest article or remove the vn=1, etc. parameters. As for the note "As of patch 1.3, the Extractor can be removed/stored.", someone altered the page to say that it did not need verification, so I removed both that note and the {{VN}} tag.

If you have any more questions on why your edits were reverted, feel free to ask. Vely►t►e 00:09, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

Huh? I'm so confused as to how all these tags work and I need a link to the page that tells me what each tag does. Also, adding/removing any information tends to be more than minor edits, even when it's just applied to bugs/glitches/exploits/easter eggs. Minor edits are more for grammatical fixes, spelling fixes, etc. As for the As of patch 1.3, I just wanted to make sure that we know for exactly what platform it applied to. If you are referring to the earlier verification needed, I verified that. Then someone removed both my verification and the VN tag. I'm guessing you. Let me know if I'm correct. I'm currently testing remarriage for PS3, though I'm not expecting that to work. Just to be safe. :)
At least tell me that the exploit won't be removed from it's Skyrim page. 72.161.219.157 00:22, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
The {{Bug}} template (click the blue link to find more info on it) uses the parameters vn=1 and confirmed=1. vn=1 means that the bug needs verification; confirmed=1 means that the bug has been confirmed. As for the verification you added, you just need to remove the "verification needed" template ({{VN}}) instead of stating on the page that it has been verified, so yes, I removed both your verification and the verification needed.
The exploit will not be removed from the Glitches page unless it is removed from the game in a future patch. Exploits are allowed on that page but no others.
What is and isn't considered a minor edit varies by person. Personally, I view the addition or removal of a single bug or note to be a minor edit because it doesn't do much, and I suppose Silencer views it the same. There is no definite guideline as to what a minor edit is, so it's up to individuals to determine that themselves. Vely►t►e 00:29, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
On a side note, registered users have the option to set their site preferences so that every single edit is marked as "minor" by default, unless they uncheck the box. Sometimes people forget to uncheck it, so there's also that possibility. ABCface 17:32, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
