High-Agression NPCs

Hi there! I saw your message on rpeh's page and thought I would give you some feedback on your sandbox article.

First of all, I'm not sure such a page would be considered useful by most users, but that's for the community to decide. Any NPC will attack you if their disposition toward you is lower than their aggression, while NPCs with an aggression of 100 will attack you on sight anyway. Second, why list every NPC with an aggression greater than 6? It seems like a random guideline, and you'll end up with basically a list of every NPC in the game. Like I said, any NPC will attack you when their disposition gets too low, so a page listing them all seems a little redundant.

If anything, we could consider adding a category for "hostile" NPCs who attack the player on sight, but I'm not sure that's necessary either, since those NPCs are sort of designed to be hard to avoid.

I appreciate your interest in improving the site, but I'm not sure if this article will be worth your time and effort. You might consider taking a look at our task list or one of our several project pages for other ways you can help out :). –Eshe^talk 22:45, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

I agree with Eshe. I also hate to say it, but we could generate such a page in just a few seconds by grabbing data direct from the game files. The Task List is a good place to get ideas, so see if there's anything that takes your fancy. –rpeh^{•T•C•E•} 04:33, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

I think you want to talk to someone because you have two parts on your User Page saying people should talk to you. Don't take it to heart I am just guessing, you might not want to talk to anyone (except yourself but thats ok lol). If you have a printer then you can just print out the wiki page that has the locations and names of the ruins. I did it by myself without directions and had a lot of fun doing it but thats just me and Oblivion Addiction (everyone has some level of it trust me :D) --Kri-Dar 11:15, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Won't like the brash Orc in the party too much.

That's good! But I'm afraid I can't put The Adoring Fan in the story, but I could referance an annoying elf, and you could imagine it was him... . Blank Lines

Instead of using blank lines on your user page, which only fix the problem for certain window widths, try using {{NewLine}} (just one) after the userboxes, which will make them appear correctly for everybody. For example:

Just as a side-note to your Patroller nomination, don't take the unanimous (so far) Oppose votes too hard. Basically, yes! I would advise that you take some time and read some of the existing finished pages to get a sense of the style we're looking for. No, I play on XBOX360 with limited (but not no) access to the PC but I could still do quest involvment, diolouge and rumors, services, and other, right? Although I have a question, how do you remove an NPC from a category? Because I was scrolling through and The Bosmer Thief is in Diolouge unchecked even though he is dead. Haha, I remember your edit storm, one minite we were tied on the active user page, the next you were 14 users ahead of me! But my question continues; see above post.

Well, to answer your question - he will (and should) be part of that category and it doesn't matter if he is alive or not. When some in-gamer or CS'er have written the N/A thing - and another in-gamer and CS'er marks it as "checked" he will disappear from the Category automatically. It is actually easier if you look at some of the pages. If you open up the ONPCRP tag on this page you will see, that I wrote a lot of stuff in-game. After I filled out the tag with "Schedule written by Krusty (in-game)", the page disappeared from the "Schedule-Not-Written" category - and joined the "Schedule-Written"category. After SerCenKing added the "Schedule checked by SerCenKing (CS)", the page disappeared from the "Schedule-Unchecked" Category and joined the "Schedule-Checked" category. That is how the tag works. Only when all the categories have been written and checked will the ONPCRP tag disappear from the page. --Krusty 23:13, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Sorry to say this, Matt - but it is still wrong. You see, you can't do in-game check of something that was written in-game. Things written in-game has to be checked by the CS - and vice versa. So, if you want to do the quest checking - look through all the quests-written NPCs and find something written from the CS - THEN you can do the checking in-game. Well, I'm sorry that I didn't inform you - how could you know about the CS/in-game procedure? Yeah, you should probably undo the edits for now. BUT, it is a pretty easy (but equally important) task to find NPCs with no quest-relation and write the quest info - on the tag, just write |quests=[[User:Arch-Mage Matt|Arch-Mage Matt]] (in-game) (N/A (no quests)

Any edits you've made checking something that was written in-game should be reverted. We want to make sure that we check every aspect both in-game and from the CS. You can write things that haven't been written at all, or you can check things that have been written from the CS. Requesting Semi-protection

Please can User:Arch-Mage Matt be semi-protected for a while? For whatever reason, the page has been the target of a phenomenal amount of vandalism recently, all of which has come from new users who wouldn't be able to edit straight away if the page was protected. rpeh •T•C•E• 20:16, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Update on Rona Benarus/ Battlehorn Castle

I was able to get Lord Kelvyn's shield back, but you were correct, she didn't "steal" it. I removed a few clothing items from Lord Kelvyn's chest (that i had placed in there with it), left the private quarters, waited an hour, and the shield appeared in my inventory. Ads

The ad was likely added by some bot of some sort. There is no need to add a warning, official or not, to their page as the account will be blocked. Elliot 03:43, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

You were right the first time, it's "Captcha". "Skipcaptcha" is the right the Patrollers and Admins have, which means they don't get Captcha checks. But getting back to your question, chances are a real live person is involved, though a bot might occasionally pass a Captcha check. It's probably a combination of both where the bot creates new accounts and posts ads on hundreds of sites and just shows the human the Captcha check. ‒ Robin Hood↝Talk 06:34, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Those little Personal Boxes

Okay, so, just starting out here on UESP, and i was wondering, where can you find all of those Personal Message boxes, I mean like the ones that say "This User is Knowledgable of Oblivion" or, "This User is Male" etc.? Is there a whole page of these i can find somewhere? Or am I doomed to searching for ones on user pages? Or can you make them? If you can answer these questions, please, put the link to a page on my talk page, or put in the instructions on how to make them. Thank You. Well, it could go here, I am a Mentor. Luckily for you, I stubled upon that gate near Battlehorn Castle just yesterday. Assuming you mean Random Oblivion World 4, involved in Allies for Bruma quest, I went to the lava surrounding The Brooding Fortress (the main tower) and jumped over it... I got in the lava a little but got out on the other side, ok. Then just go around the rocks enough until you get to the main door. If you need any furthur clarifying, just ask.
