When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Thanks for your message.
Since the guide on images said both "It should have a 1:1 aspect ratio and preferably be at least 900x900 pixels in resolution" and "Do not squash or stretch the image in order to meet aspect ratio standards. An image with a nonstandard aspect ratio is preferable to one which is distorted", I had assumed what I uploaded was indeed suitable. As that doesn't appear to be the case, I've played around with the cropping and will have probably uploaded the new image by the time you've read this.
