Nirn's Sun[edit]
Where is it? I can't see any mention of it in here.--TheAlbinoOrcany_questions? 22:20, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- As far as I understand, the sun is not represented in the model of the planetary system that is present in the orrery. Therefore it's not mentioned here. That's also why I chose to call it "planetary system" instead of "solar system". Fits good with the notion of the sun (and the stars) as a "tear" through Oblivion to Aetherius. But a complete astronomy article must of course mention the sun. I think it better has it's own section though. Quill 22:31, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

- Probably. Also where did the notion of the sun/stars as a tear come from? I've never heard of it before. Of course I'm not exactly an astronomer - the study of Ayleidoon, Daedric and Dwemeris doesn't require looking at the sky much.--TheAlbinoOrcany_questions? 22:42, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

- Just to make sure we're understanding each other here; "tear" as in rip, hole etc. This theory is referenced in our article on Magnus, and is presented in the obscure text about cosmology that is linked on the astronomy page, but I'm not sure if it is presented in this precise way in the games. Magnus is the sun and magic, so far so good, but I'll have to dig up in-game references for the "hole in Oblivion" part. --Quill 22:59, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
