King Folbert the Wide was the ruler of Daggerfall and an instrumental figure in the expansion of the Daggerfall Covenant and an ally of Wayrest during the Ranser's War.[1]

History[edit]

Daggerfall

He succeeded the throne from King Bergamot at some point between 2E 542 and 2E 567,[1][2] after the previous monarch perished during the Knahaten Flu epidemic. He aided Wayrest during Ranser's War and was instrumental to the wider Daggerfall Covenant of 2E 567. As of then Folbert expressed belief that Wayrest's pre-eminence to be a matter of mere luck. It was believed that should Wayrest overextend itself, Folbert would seize the opportunity to return Daggerfall to the forefront in High Rock.[1] It is unknown when he died, but as of 2E 582 the kingdom of Daggerfall was governed by King Casimir.[3]

Folbert's death was foreseen by the oracle Marieve, who also predicted the death of king Tamlien of Summerset Isles,[4] and the Daedric Triad threat to the Summerset Isle and Artaeum.[5][6]
