Salmon[edit]
The Salmon is a gray type of fish that can commonly be found in bodies of water around Tamriel. They are often seen jumping to ascend waterfalls and rapids. While the other species of fish tend to swim near the surface of bodies of water, salmon may often be seen either near the surface or in the depths. Its pinkish-orange flesh is a popular food source, and can be eaten raw or salted and cooked.
- The Crag Salmon can be found in the lakes of Craglorn.
- The Ghost Salmon can be found in the Sea of Ghosts, near Haafingar and Hjaalmarch.
- The Jarl Salmon can be found in the lakes of the Rift.
- The Midget Salmon can be found in the foul waters of the Alik'r Desert.
- The Sockeye Salmon can be found in the rivers of the Rift.

- The Fresh-Water Sardinella is a species of sardinella that can be found in the rivers of Pellitine.

- The Speckled Sauger can be found in the lakes of Blackwood.
Saw Belly[edit]
The Saw Belly is a type of fish that can be found in the Alik'r Desert.

The Sawfish is a type of fish that can be found in Stormhaven.

Scalyfins are a type of saltwater fish.
- The Inner Sea Scalyfin can be found in the Sea of Ghosts and Inner Sea, off the coasts of Bleakrock Isle and Bal Foyen respectively.
Scorpionfish[edit]
The Scorpionfish is a type of fish that can be found in the sunny waters of the Abecean Sea off the Gold Coast. The Scorpion Fish can also be found in dark, subterranean waters in Skyrim.
Sculpin[edit]
Sculpins are a type of fish.
- The Skingrad Sculpin can be found in the foul waters of the West Weald.
Shad[edit]
The Shad is a type of small fish that can be found in lakes across Tamriel. They are used as bait to catch larger fish.
- The Ash Shad can be found in Stonefalls
- The Strid Shad can be found in Reaper's March
Shark[edit]
Sharks are a type of fish. They are known to pose a danger to those who swim in deep waters.[2]
- The Bala Shark can be found in the lakes of Hew's Bane, while the Beggar Shark can be found off its coast in the Abecean Sea.
- Blue Fang Sharks can be found off the coast of the Systres and possess a blue and white coloration.[3]
- The Fang Shark can be found in the foul waters of Coldharbour.
- The Golem Shark can be found in the Sea of Ghosts, off the coast of Eastmarch.
- The Howling Shark can be found in the Inner Sea and Sea of Ghosts, off the coasts of the Telvanni Peninsula.
- The Magrove Shark can be found in the Southern Sea, off the coast of Grahtwood.
- Pad-sa Sharks are scrappy survivors that inhabit fresh and salty waters, usually found from the mouth of the Niben River to the Topal Bay.[4]
- The Sleeper Shark can be found in the sunny waters of the Abecean Sea, off the Gold Coast.
- The Skyrim Gurry Shark can be found in the Sea of Ghosts off the coast of Haafingar and Hjaalmarch.[5]
- The Weeping Pygmy Shark can be found in the Inner Sea, off the coasts of Vvardenfell.
Shark Tadpole[edit]
The Shark Tadpole is a type of fish that can be found in the rivers of Shadowfen.
Sheartooth[edit]
Shearteeth are a type of fish found in the Sump on Umbriel. They are described as having a "maw full of teeth". They can reach at least fifteen feet long and have long whip-like tails, dual swimming fins on the underside, teeth that "would shame a shark", and a tough hide. They were usually non-aggressive to Skraws but would attack if the sump considered someone an intruder.

The Sheepshead is a type of fish that can be found in the rivers of Reaper's March.
Shiner[edit]
Shiners are a type of freshwater fish.
- The Hist Sap Shiner can be found in the rivers of Murkmire.
Siltwallow Burrfish[edit]
The Siltwallow Burrfish is a type of fish found in the foul waters of the Reach.
Skate[edit]
The Skate is a type of fish that can be found in the foul waters of the Rift.
- The Systres Skate can be found in the foul waters of Galen.
Skorrn[edit]
The Skorrn is a type of fish that can be found in the foul waters of the Rift.
Slaughterfish[edit]
Slaughterfish are large, aggressive fish with razor-sharp teeth found in the waters of nearly all of Nirn and even in other realms such as Coldharbour.
They are often found in large groups that will swarm unwary prey quickly and lethally, some specimens have been known to grow at least twice as large than average due to plentiful meals. Slaughterfish tend to prefer foul waters but can thrive in a variety of aquatic environments across Tamriel, such as deep inland lakes and underground rivers. They have even been sighted in the heavily polluted, oily waters of the Clockwork City, where most other fish species had been rendered near-extinct.
- Variations: Rumare Slaughterfish, Small Slaughterfish, Giant Slaughterfish, Crab-Slaughter-Crane, Blind Slaughterfish, Electric Slaughterfish

The Snakehead is a type of fish that can be found in the Sea of Ghosts, off the coast of Rivenspire.
Snapper[edit]
The Snapper is a type of fish.
- The Lake Snapper can be found in the lakes of Bangkorai.
- The Perfumed Snapper can be found in Murkmire. Its sweet-smelling oils are known to be extracted for use in Shadowscale customs.[6]
Sole[edit]
The Sole is a type of fish.
- The Finless Sole can be found off the coast of Glenumbra.
- The Lined Sole can be found in the foul waters of Murkmire.
Spadefish[edit]
The Spadefish is a type of disc-shaped fish with brush-like teeth from Skyrim. They can be found in temperate streams and around the bases of waterfalls in the Reach.[7]
Spadetail[edit]
The Spadetail is a common type of fish that can be found in still lakes with deep holes or overgrowth that let them stay out of the sun. Guts from small frogs, guar and chickens as well as tiny ocean minnows are the best bait for attracting spadetails.
- The Cyrodilic Spadetail can be found in ponds, lakes, and other bodies of water. Despite its name, its habitat is not limited to Cyrodiil.
Sparking Anglermouth[edit]
The Sparking Anglermouth is a type of fish that can be found in the warm waters of Hew's Bane.
Speckled Dace[edit]
The Speckled Dace is a type of fish found in the fresh and brackish water of Anequina.

- The Sulfursucker can be found in the foul waters of the Rift.

The Sunfish is a type of fish.
- The Bronze-Banded Sunfish can be found in the lakes of High Isle and Amenos.
- The Pygmy Sunfish can be found in temperate lakes in Skyrim, with them being more commonly seen in rainy conditions. They are often seen by travelers who stop to enjoy the hot springs of Eastmarch.[7]
- The Redear Sunfish can be found in the lakes of Murkmire.

The Swai is a type of fish that can be found in the saltwater of the Bjoulsae River in Bangkorai.
