Release Date[edit]

i believe it should be mentioned that according to the apple store the predicted release for (presumably) the rest of the world is December 2024 (image link:) [1] --Ggnomey (talk) 19:02, 10 May 2024 (UTC)

We can mention that, but I think they had to just choose a month for the app store, so they chose the end of the year. The wording they used elsewhere is more vague, when if their actual goal was December I don't think they would have been. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 19:04, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
I tend to agree. Those estimated release dates for mobile games have not been particularly accurate in the past, and we've never dealt with a staggered release like this before. I would suggest we wait and see. Currently, I think it's more useful for the infobox to display dates for countries where it's actually available. —Legoless (talk) 22:36, 10 May 2024 (UTC)

Time period of the game[edit]

In a recent patch adding imperial cosmetics to the game, many in-game ads and the imperial palace skin feature the banner and aesthetic of the Second Empire / the interregnum Empire of Cyrodiil, in other words, late First Era or middle Second Era. We know at this point that many names show up in game are indeed anacronichal and only there as a hype to hook people into the game, such as Tiber Septim, Lucien Lachance and Ulfric being actual characters. But, if we ignore the characters for a minute and other anacronichal remarks, considering that they actually chose that specific imperial aesthetic to the game, wouldn't the game be passed at least in the time periods mentioned in my comment? They chose the aesthetics of the "Imperial City", but still you can't just reject the "other" moments and leave one specific one, it would be cherry-picking¿suppression of evidence...no?
But even so, if we follow the same logic, the game in the same way is set in the time of Skyrim, since in "Dwemer update" The Event Series Plot has a full-fledged Arniel Gane, and story that expands on his "Tonal Research" ~—~ and at the same time the plot has a full-fledged Ra'Zhid. The non-standard presentation of the Imperial style is most likely due to the fact that the classical style was planned to be fully Imperial, but then it was cancele dfor some reason and so they made the new one more expressive.
It's just a theme and decorations, why doesn't it carry the same weight as the Oblivion portal decoration or the Talos statue?; how can we separate which stuff are "non-canon, purely to sell it to fans" and which are "an accurate source of `only` knowledge?"; shouldn't the original decorations and theme have the most weight as the primary element of the game? imho, this is purely confirmation bias, since these ("Imperail") are only occasional/temporal events and in-shop-stuff, while the main elements of the game in many places really indicate near Blades~Skyrim times, and still, many not
