Medora Direnni is a Breton mage (see note below), former sorceress to the court of Daggerfall, and secret lover of the late King Lysandus.

After Lysandus' death, the Dowager Queen Mynisera banished Medora from the Daggerfall court. She returned to the Isle of Balfiera and took up residence in Direnni Tower, her ancestral home. However, Mynisera placed a curse upon the Tower, trapping the Witch within its walls.

Notes

• The book, A History of Daggerfall, describes the Direnni as "native Bretons". In later games, they were retconned into Altmer.
• Medora is mentioned in later games in the lore book De Rerum Dirennis.
