The First Empire was a faction of unknown proportion and prominence, of which Mournhold was once a city-state of, historically, before becoming a "lost city" later on.[1]
Notes[edit]
- A member of the Daggerfall's Council of Wisdom has alluded to an the unfinished plot for the King Edward books would have had Edward of Daggerfall and Moraelyn of Ebonheart and Aliera of Wayrest founding an Empire and uniting Tamriel.[UOL 1] Similarly around this time in the First Era, an alliance called the League of Unrest rebelled against Cyrodiil, of which Daggerfall, Wayrest, and Balfiera were members.[2] Whether the First Empire referred to the Mournhold city description alludes to an already existing First Empire in the lore or a new faction is unknown.
- The Second Empire of the Dwemer was active during the time of Kagrenac.[3][4] It is unknown if the First Empire that controlled Mournhold is the predecessor to the Dwemeri Second Empire.
