Helath Stormbinder was a Dunmer warrior and champion of Boethiah, and who once owned the Ebony Mail, sometime prior to the Imperial Simulacrum. At some point, however, he lost her favor and the artifact was taken from him by Boethiah, an event often compared to the tale of Kynareth taking the Lord's Mail from Morihaus. Boethiah then hid the Ebony Mail away somewhere in Tamriel, where it remained for an unspecified number of years. While a map leading to the new location of the the Ebony Mail would eventually be discovered in a dungeon in Black Marsh, the Ebony Mail itself reapppeared in another dungeon in Tamriel outside of Black Marsh; both of these would be recovered by the Eternal Champion during the Imperial Simulacrum.

• ^1	The example player character featured in a pre-release image on the back of the Arena box art is named Helath Stormbinder. He is a male Dark Elf and his class is Assassin, though he notably bears equipment an Assassin cannot use in the final game.

• "Helath" is a possible male Dark Elf forename in the Arena name generator, while his surname "Stormbinder" is a possible High Elf surname in the Arena name generator.
