Piukanda is an Ayleid ruin located between the Imperial City and Bruma, on the northeastern edge of the Great Forest of Cyrodiil[1] in a sparsely-wooded region known as Autumn Range.[2]
During the Alliance War of 2E 582, a squad of Daggerfall Covenant soldiers based in Fort Glademist were ordered by General Khamagash to clear the nearby Ayleid ruins, including Piukanda, in search of enemy troops.[3] However, they perished before returning, and their skeletons were raised as undead, including that of Captain Kline.[4] The skeletal captain was ultimately freed from undeath by passing soldiers, but the interior of the ruins remained sealed at that time.[2]
By 3E 433, the ruins had been unsealed, and Piukanda's subterranean passages were swarming with undead.[5]
