Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Speak to Druid Gastoc in Vastyr. He will task you with going to the Valley of the Watcher, killing the Forest Wraith named Timbershade, and use the Root Removal Tincture on 3 Captive Hirelings. Before leaving Vastyr, you may speak to Sandeire Lozon for additional information about your task.
The quickest way to get there is through the Llanshara Wayshrine. Follow the dirt path north, going across the vine-tree-root bridge over the lava. Continue heading northwest over the cooled lava bridge, underneath the stone arch, until you get to the Valley.
After you defeat Timbershade, you need to use the Root Removal Tincture on 3 Hirelings. They can be found in the area around the group boss.
Once you have rescued 3 Hirelings, return to Druid Gastoc in Vastyr for your reward.

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
