Quest-Related Events[edit]
You'll find her in a cage in the storeroom of Mor Khazgur:
- "If you're here to get me to tell you where the key to the mine is, you're out of luck.
Unlike our chief, I care about the safety of our clan. We should never have used alchemy in the first place. I knew this was where Urzikh's methods would lead." - You think alchemy caused the mine collapse?
- "Doesn't matter now.
If Chief Urzikh gets her way, she'll open the mine and those creatures will run riot all over the stronghold. Orcs are supposed to jump at a glorious death, but I've seen enough death to know there's nothing glorious about it." - [Persuade] I'll keep the stronghold safe.
- "There's something about the way you hold yourself …. I believe you.
This might be a mistake, but if you really think you can keep my people safe and rescue my kin, I'd be a fool not to help you." - Good. Now, where is the key?
- "I hid it on top of the watchtower. The fate of this clan is in your hands now, outsider. Mauloch help us all if you fail.
There's a door out of the storeroom to your right. Go, quickly."
- "There's something about the way you hold yourself …. I believe you.
- The chief said she'll go through Thulsgreg if she has to.
- "And Chief Urzikh doesn't make idle threats.
Fine. I'll tell you where the key is. But first, you'll do something for me. I want my people have a fighting chance if the worst comes to pass." - What do you need me to do?
- "If those monsters escape, we'll have to abandon the stronghold. We'll need our strength.
I set traps outside the walls. Take the game from them to the camp north of here. Then, I'll tell you where the key is." - All right. I'll bring your people the meat.
- "Good. You can take the side entrance out of here—it's tucked away in the back. Just don't let anyone see you, all right?"
- "And Chief Urzikh doesn't make idle threats.
If you speak to her again before retrieving the meat, she'll say:
- "Gather up all the meat in the traps, and I'll tell you where the key is."
- Why do you oppose the chief?
- "Her methods trouble me. We've always upheld our traditions, and they've served us well.
Now, Chief Urzikh has grand ideas about a prosperous future and expanding the stronghold. We don't need anything more than what we already have." - Was the clan struggling before Chief Urzikh took over?
- "I won't lie to you … it was. The mine was running dry. Trade was dying out. But we were surviving. Not well, but well enough.
That's why the clan puts up with her. She pulled us back from the brink. But now we see the price of it."
- "Her methods trouble me. We've always upheld our traditions, and they've served us well.
- What do you think caused the mine collapse?
- "It … it must have been Chief Urzikh's potions. They dissolve stone quicker than the eye can follow, but the risks far outweigh the benefits.
That stuff is dangerous! It has no place in our mine." - Has anything like this ever happened before?
- "No, but it was only a matter of time! You can only play with fire for so long until it lashes out and burns you.
This was inevitable."
- "It … it must have been Chief Urzikh's potions. They dissolve stone quicker than the eye can follow, but the risks far outweigh the benefits.
When you return to Mazog after taking the meat to the camp, she will say:
- "So, you're back. Did you do what I asked?"
- I took the meat to the camp, just like you asked.
- "Good.
I know it seems like a small thing, but knowing that the clan will have a fighting chance if we have to flee gives me more comfort than you could know." - Now, where is the key?
- "I hid it on top of the watchtower.
The fate of this clan is in your hands now, outsider. I hope my trust isn't misplaced."
No matter which path you take, if you speak to her before trying to get the key, she'll say:
- "The key will be on top of the watchtower. You should go quickly."
