Pungent Adder

Pungent Adder is the Naga and the leader of the Fang-Furls Gang, a criminal organization active in the trade game of Blackwood.

Quick Strike

A basic melee attack that causes minor physical damage.

Whirlwind

The enemy spins around, doing moderate physical damage to all targets as indicated by a red circle. Blocking will reduce the damage taken.

Assassinate

The enemy strikes at the player's back for moderate physical damage. This attack can only be performed if the enemy is behind the player, and enemy will often use "Passing Through" to get behind the player. Ensure your character is facing the enemy at all times to prevent this.

Passing Through

The enemy jumps above the target to get behind them.

Pin

When standing further away, the enemy shoots at you with a glowing crossbow. If the bolt hits, you are briefly immobilized.

Twirling Lunge

When standing further away, the enemy holds their dual weapons in a rear-handed stance, with a yellow glow visible around their weapons, then dash forward and strike their target, dealing moderate physical damage and knocking the target back. This is almost always used after Pin lands successfully.

Quest-Related Events

After helping the Averno Brothers disrupt the gang's operations, Pungent Adder will have the pair abducted in response. In his Ransom Note to you, he will ask you to come to the Ruction Ring beneath Gideon to face him. The Ruction Ring is an arena based in a closed off section of the Twyllbek Ruins, once you arrive you find the brothers tied to a pole and guarded by some Fang-Furl thugs and assassins. Meanwhile, Pungent Adder will be watching from his platform above the ring.

After you defeat some of the Blackguards, Pungent Adder will decide to fight you:

Pungent Adder: "Fine! I'll deal with you myself!"

Once you have killed Pungent Adder, you can free the Averno brothers and leave the arena.
