Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Harpy Problems[edit]

The Remly brothers figure that there is something wrong about these harpy traps ...

The start location is northwest of Daggerfall. Speak to Leonce Diel near the tent. He asks you to go find the missing members of the Daggers. Talk to Bumnog nearby and he tells you what you need to do next. Go east up the path, turn north at the top and go into the hills. Now turn west and continue until you find fleshly picked bones, search them. Turn northeast and go up the hill to find Foulwing. After you defeat her head southeast up the hill, at some point you'll begin to hear someone talking turn south to find Balin and Armel Remly, there is a skyshard nearby so grab it if you want. Speak to Balin, he wants you to capture four harpies. Attack any harpy in the area and when they get to about 75% health throw a snare at them. Do this until you have four. Now find Gelvin who is west of Chill House, up a hill and by the cliff edge. Speak to him and he tells you that the Daggers need to find harpy eggs. Now search the area for harpy eggs, you can find them on the ground or on harpies bodies. When you have four head to the campsite near the front of Shrieking Scar. Before you reach camp Bumnog will want to speak to you so talk with him.

Diel's Secret[edit]

Lord Alain Diel's fate is looming over him
Gelvin Feldrin apologizes for failing as leader of The Daggers

Now talk with Alain Diel in the camp. He tells you to find Gelvin, who is missing again. Go talk to Granette Feldrin and she'll tell you to check Miltrin's Fishing Cabin, it's located on an island to the west of the camp. Go inside the cabin and speak with Gelvin. Look around the house and you'll find a contract under the rug. Read it to find out what's going on. Now choose to either have Gelvin finish the job or have him confront Lord Diel.

If you choose to confront Lord Diel he will say that he will have your head for stealing from him. If you had completed the questline in Daggerfall you will get a unique dialogue option that you are friends with the king and that won't happen. Eventually, after you have finished listening to Lord Diel's monologue, Gelvin will release the harpies and a harpy will appear behind Diel and kill him. Bumnog will then confront you about stealing some gems from Lord Diel's Campsite. Bumnog then gives you the task of lying to Gelvin that he found the gems on Diel's body to continue the Daggers.

Go speak to Gelvin and choose to tell him about Bumnog stealing the gems or finding them on Diel's body. If you tell Gelvin about Bumnog stealing the gems, he accepts them and doesn't feel any remorse for taking them as he thinks the Daggers have earned their pay in full. If you tell him that you found them on Diel's body, he will hesitate about accepting them, but accepts them with some coaxing. Either option results in Gelvin accepting the gems and him continuing to lead the Daggers.

If you allow the Daggers to finish the job, you will be given the option to extort money from Diel, either for the mercenaries or yourself. Either way, go and speak to Diel outside the house. After watching the events unfold, talk to Bumnog, then speak with Gelvin for your reward.

Notes[edit]

Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
