The Lost One

The Lost One is an aspect of the Celestial Mage appearing as an Altmer in the Apex Stone room of the Elinhir Sewerworks. She has been corrupted by the Serpent, and must be defeated during the related quest.

During combat, she will summon two frost atronachs, flame atronachs and storm atronachs in this order, after a cooldown between each summoning.

Skills and Abilities

The Lost One uses a mix of fear mage, storm mage and time bomb mage abilities, as well as one additional unique ability.

Ice Shroud

The Lost One encases herself in ice armor completely, reducing the damage she receives as well as causing nearby opponents to also become frozen, snaring them, reducing their attack speed and dealing moderate continuous ice damage until the effect wears off.

Quest-Related Events

When approached, she will yell:

The Lost One: "The others are near. I can sense them. You think to stop me? I am too strong for you, mortal. I cannot be defeated."

Once you defeat her, she will stand at the bottom of the steps with her arms outstretched and turn to stone.

As she is defeated projections of other fragments of the Mage will appear:

The Lost One: "Fools! This stone is the source of my strength. You cannot defeat me here."

Valla: "Lost One. Surrender yourself. Shake off the Serpent's control. You have lost. Join with us of your own free will and we shall be whole again."

Bugs

• Following an unknown patch, a bug prevents the final sequence where the Lost One turns into stone and the projections appear in the room to speak from occurring. Instead, as the Lost One begins to shake, she disappears abruptly. The quest objective still updates accordingly however. ^?
