Varaine Pellingare is a Breton noble who, along with his sister, is the leader of a potential coup in Wayrest. Their forces have been preparing down in the Wayrest Sewers.

Varaine Pellingare is killed in Wayrest Sewers I, and as a result, his mourning father made a deal with Investigator Garron to have him raised from the dead. He returns in the final battle of Wayrest Sewers II, fighting alongside his sister. He will use a variety of melee attacks, while Allene uses ranged attacks.
Skills and Abilities[edit]
As a boss type enemy, Varaine Pellingare is immune to all forms of crowd control effects.
- Slash
- A basic melee attack that does minor physical damage.
- Smite
- A heavy melee attack that deals high physical damage and knocks the target down. This attack should be blocked or dodged if possible.
- Spinning Cleave
- The boss spins around dealing moderate physical damage and knocking players down as indicated by a red circle around himself.
- Tidal Slash
- The boss smashes the ground causing a wave of water that deals moderate physical damage and knocks players back as indicated by a red cone. This attack has a fast cast time and can be hard to avoid if you are standing too near the boss.
- Poisoned Blade
- The boss throws a poisoned dagger at a target dealing moderate poison damage over time.

Wayrest II[edit]
As the battle with the lich ensues, Master Pellingare will escape but can caught up with in the cavern where his children first died. He can be heard beseeching his children to speak with him.
- Master Pellingare: "I'll talk to them. Make them understand. Maybe I'll get through this time."
- Master Pellingare: "Allene! Varaine! It's your father! I love you, and I want to talk to you!"
- "It's all right. These people are here to help you."
- <The pair emerge and the battle starts>
- Master Pellingare: "Forgive me."
When one of the siblings receives a damage shield, Allene and Varaine will engage in banter.
- Varaine Pellingare: "Try and keep up, sis."
- Allene Pellingare: "Don't you get tired of me constantly outdoing you?"
- Varaine Pellingare: "Come on, don't make me do this myself."
- Allene Pellingare: "Stop toying with my brother, and try a real challenge."
