Quest-Related Events[edit]
As you enter the burning home of Ronyssa Chaudry, you will overhear Olyna attempting to calm the grieving mother:
- Wyress Olyna: "Just stay with me. We'll get out of this somehow."
- Ronyssa Chaudry: "My daughter … she … she can't be gone."
- Wyress Olyna: "She's gone. I'm … I'm sorry. But we have to extinguish these fires somehow, otherwise we're going to join her."
if you speak to her before extinguishing the flames, she will shout at you:
- "There's no time! Put out these fires. Now!"
Once you have put the fires out, she will be willing to speak with you:
- "Did my sisters send you to aid us?"
- Yes. You need to head back to the mill.
- "May the Mother Spirits guide us! I tried so hard, but I wasn't able to save more than this single villager.
I'll make sure we both get back to the mill."
As you leave the ruined building, you will witness another interaction between Olyna and Ronyssa:
- Ronyssa Chaudry: "No … my beautiful daughter. Please, say something! You have to be all right. You have to be."
- Wyress Olyna: "We have to go. We can't stay here any longer. Your daughter's gone."
- Ronyssa Chaudry: "We just can't leave her here like this. I have to say goodbye. Wait! What are you doing? What's happening?"
Ignoring her protests, the Wyress then whisks Ronyssa away with a spell. Back at the mill:
- "She needs time. Her daughter died right in front of us. The imps just kept tossing bolts of fire. They wouldn't stop. It took everything I had just to keep the flames at bay.
Something evil corrupts the forest spirits. It must be stopped!"
